10.  TAFSEER SURAH ISRA

EXPOSING THOSE WHO INSULT ALLAH

Morning Dars, May 27th, 2013

AYAH 93

 

أَوْ يَكُونَ لَكَ بَيْتٌ مِّن زُخْرُفٍ أَوْ تَرْقَىٰ فِي السَّمَاءِ وَلَن نُّؤْمِنَ لِرُقِيِّكَ حَتَّىٰ تُنَزِّلَ عَلَيْنَا كِتَابًا نَّقْرَؤُهُ ۗ قُلْ سُبْحَانَ رَبِّي هَلْ كُنتُ إِلَّا بَشَرًا رَّسُولًا

 

Or you have a house of adorable materials (like silver and pure gold, etc.), or you ascend up into the sky, and even then we will put no faith in your ascension until you bring down for us a Book that we would read." Say (O Muhammad ﷺ): "Glorified (and Exalted) be my Lord (Allah) above all that evil they (polytheists) associate with Him! Am I anything but a man, sent as a Messenger?" (Al-Isra 17:93)

-This ayah is telling you that when the people don't want to believe they give the Prophets challenges.

-If the Prophet ﷺ is unable to fulfil the challenge they use it against the Prophet.

-They did the same to Prophet Saleh.

-They told him to make a camel come out of the rock.

-They killed the she-camel of Allah.

-Quraish asked the Prophet Muhammad to split the moon.

اقْتَرَبَتِ السَّاعَةُ وَانشَقَّ الْقَمَرُ

 

The Hour has drawn near, and the moon has been cleft asunder (the people of Makkah requested Prophet Muhammad ﷺ to show them a miracle, so he showed them the splitting of the moon). (Al-Qamar 54:1)

وَإِن يَرَوْا آيَةً يُعْرِضُوا وَيَقُولُوا سِحْرٌ مُّسْتَمِرٌّ

And if they see a sign, they turn away and say: "This is continuous magic." (Al-Qamar 54:2)

-They asked for a book when the book was already in their midst.

-The reason why they made this request was because at the time of the Prophet the Qur’an was recited from memory.

-It had not been compiled in book form.

-The first person to compile the Quran in book form is Abu Bakr.

-Umar approached Abu Bakr to compile the Quran in book form after 70 hafiz died in the battle of Yamaama.

-Abu Bakr said he was there to follow and not to invent new matters.

-Abu Bakr refused to put the Quran in book form but eventually did after Umar kept pushing him to do it.

-The first time the Quran was compiled in book form was during the caliphate of Abu Bakr.

-It was memorised in the bosom of men before that.

At this stage the Quran was in seven different dialects.

Hudhaifa ibn Yaman went to a province and heard the Muslims arguing over the dialects of the Quran.

Hudhiafa approached Uthman and asked him to save the Muslims from a calamity that destroyed the Jews and the Christians.

Uthman then compiled the Quran in the Quraishi dialect.

If you establish salah behind an imam anywhere in the world the Quran would be recited in the same way.

This was the greatest accomplishment during the caliphate of Uthman.

-To compile the Quran in one dialect

-Even though the greatest book was in their midst, they were asking for a book because the --Quran was not kept in book form at that time.

-The second reason why they asked for a book was because the Quran had not been completely revealed.

-The Quran came down over a period of 23 years.

-Only a few surahs had been revealed at that time.

-The surahs of the Quran are of two types; some were revealed in Makkah and others were revealed in Madinah.

-The surah revealed in Makkah focus on tauheed but the surahs revealed in Madinah focus on sharia.

-This is because the Sunnah of Allah is to invite to tauheed in darul harb and to invite to sharia in darul Islam.

WHAT ARE THE EVIL THINGS THE KUFFAAR ATTRIBUTE TO ALLAH

1) THEY ACCUSE ALLAH OF BEGETTING A SON

وَإِذَا أَنْعَمْنَا عَلَى الْإِنسَانِ أَعْرَضَ وَنَأَىٰ بِجَانِبِهِ ۖ وَإِذَا مَسَّهُ الشَّرُّ كَانَ يَئُوسًا

Say (O Muhammad ﷺ): "Glorified (and Exalted) be my Lord (Allah) above all that evil they (polytheists) associate with Him! Am I anything but a man, sent as a Messenger?" (Al-Isra 17:93)

-When they accuse Allah of having a son, they accuse Him of having an affair.

-They accuse Allah of procreating.

بَدِيعُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ ۖ أَنَّىٰ يَكُونُ لَهُ وَلَدٌ وَلَمْ تَكُن لَّهُ صَاحِبَةٌ ۖ وَخَلَقَ كُلَّ شَيْءٍ ۖ وَهُوَ بِكُلِّ شَيْءٍ عَلِيمٌ

 

He is the Originator of the heavens and the earth. How can He have children when He has no wife? He created all things and He is the All-Knower of everything. (Al-An'am 6:101)

-Allah refuted them in surah 6:101.

-You are living in darul harb with people who accuse Allah of having a son and you take this slander for granted as a simple thing.

-You have become desensitised to this lie that Allah begot a son.

2) THEY ACCUSE ALLAH OF SUICIDE.

-They say Allah came down in the form of Jesus and died for people's sins.

-They believe people can be as sinful as they like because Jesus died for their sins.

-This is why Christians commit ethnic cleansing.

-One hundred million slaves were thrown to the sharks by Christians.

-This ideology that Jesus died for their sins kills their conscience.

-They can do the worst crime, ethnic cleansing and go to sleep.

-Christians commit ethnic cleansing wherever they go.

-The Serbs committed ethnic cleansing against the Muslims of Bosnia.

-When Christians went to North America they gave them blankets to kill the native Indians.

-They went to their beds with a clear conscience after this because they believe Jesus died for their sins.

-This is why they have gay churches.

-They believe they can sin with immunity and impunity because they believe Jesus died for their sins.

3) ALLAH'S HANDS ARE TIED

Allah said in the Quran 5:64

 

وَقَالَتِ الْيَهُودُ يَدُ اللَّهِ مَغْلُولَةٌ ۚ غُلَّتْ أَيْدِيهِمْ وَلُعِنُوا بِمَا قَالُوا ۘ بَلْ يَدَاهُ مَبْسُوطَتَانِ يُنفِقُ كَيْفَ يَشَاءُ ۚ وَلَيَزِيدَنَّ كَثِيرًا مِّنْهُم مَّا أُنزِلَ إِلَيْكَ مِن رَّبِّكَ طُغْيَانًا وَكُفْرًا ۚ وَأَلْقَيْنَا بَيْنَهُمُ الْعَدَاوَةَ وَالْبَغْضَاءَ إِلَىٰ يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ ۚ كُلَّمَا أَوْقَدُوا نَارًا لِّلْحَرْبِ أَطْفَأَهَا اللَّهُ ۚ وَيَسْعَوْنَ فِي الْأَرْضِ فَسَادًا ۚ وَاللَّهُ لَا يُحِبُّ الْمُفْسِدِينَ

The Jews say: "Allah's Hand is tied up (i.e. He does not give and spend of His Bounty)." Be their hands tied up and be they accursed for what they uttered. Nay, both His Hands are widely outstretched. He spends (of His Bounty) as He wills. Verily, the Revelation that has come to you from Allah increases in most of them their obstinate rebellion and disbelief. We have put enmity and hatred amongst them till the Day of Resurrection. Every time they kindled the fire of war, Allah extinguished it; and they (ever) strive to make mischief on earth. And Allah does not like the Mufsidun (mischief makers). (Al-Ma'idah 5:64)

-The Jew repeated this statement in 1982 when they invaded Lebanon, and they carried out the massacre of sabra and shatilla.

-Allah's Hands are tied also means that Allah is stingy and doesn't spend.

-This expression means that someone is hopeless and is of no help.

4) ALLAH IS POOR BUT THEY ARE RICH

-One day Abu Bakr punched a Jew in the face.

-The Jew complained to the Prophet that Abu Bakr punched him for no reason.

-The Prophet asked Abu Bakr why he punched the Jew.

-Abu Bakr told the Prophet he punched the Jew because he said that Allah is poor and he is rich.

-The Jew refused to admit that he had made this claim.

Allah revealed in 3:181

لَّقَدْ سَمِعَ اللَّهُ قَوْلَ الَّذِينَ قَالُوا إِنَّ اللَّهَ فَقِيرٌ وَنَحْنُ أَغْنِيَاءُ ۘ سَنَكْتُبُ مَا قَالُوا وَقَتْلَهُمُ الْأَنبِيَاءَ بِغَيْرِ حَقٍّ وَنَقُولُ ذُوقُوا عَذَابَ الْحَرِيقِ

Indeed, Allah has heard the statement of those (Jews) who say: "Truly, Allah is poor and we are rich!" We shall record what they have said and their killing of the Prophets unjustly, and We shall say: "Taste you the torment of the burning (Fire)." (Al Imran 3:181)

This is why we should always record debates.

-Hypocrites always deny what they say. They all speak with the same tongue.

-There was no tape recorder in the time of the Prophet so the Jew denied making that statement.

-There was no recording device at that time.

 

-Even though there was no recording device to record what the Jew had said, Allah revealed 3:181.

-Whenever you are debating hypocrites and low life scrums of the earth like the Saudi Salafis, Barelvis and Shias always record the debate.

-Shaikh was asked to debate a Parvezi, a person who rejects hadith.

-Shaikh put a condition that he would debate the Parvezi if there was a recording device to record the debate.

-In Nigeria, Shaikh was asked to debate a Saudi Salafi. He debated the Saudi Salafi because there was a recording device to record the debate.

-People will always deny what they say.

-People claim that Allah rested on the seventh day.

5) THEY CLAIM ALLAH RESTED ON THE SEVENTH DAY

In book of Genesis 2:2

And on the seventh day God ended His work which He had done, and He rested on the seventh day from all His work which He had done. (Genesis 2:2)

6) GOD MADE TAUBAH FOR MAKING MAN

And the Lord was sorry that He had made man on the earth, and He was grieved in His heart.

(KJV Genesis 6:6)

They claim that God repented for making man because of how wicked man is.

And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made. (KJV Genesis 2:2)

7) THEY CLAIM ALLAH LOST A WRESTLING MATCH WITH JACOB

And Jacob was left alone; and there wrestled a man with him until the breaking of the day.

(KJV Genesis 32:24)

And when he saw that he prevailed not against him, he touched the hollow of his thigh; and the hollow of Jacob's thigh was out of joint, as he wrestled with him (KJV Genesis 32:25)

And he said, Let me go, for the day breaketh. And he said, I will not let thee go, except thou bless me (KJV Genesis 32:26)

And he said unto him, What is thy name? And he said, Jacob. (KJV 32:27)

And he said, Thy name shall be called no more Jacob, but Israel: for as a prince hast thou power with God and with men, and hast prevailed. (KJV 32:28)

-This insult is from Jews and Christians.

-They claim Jacob beat Allah in a wrestling match.

8) THEY CLAIM TO DISMANTLE THE SHARIAH OF ALLAH IS MINOR KUFR

-This insult is from the Saudi Salafis...

-They are the greatest enemies of Islam and Muslims

-aka Madkhalis

This is the biggest insult against Allah

Ibn Kathir and ibn Taymiyyah said it is known by necessity that to dismantle the shariah is major kufr and it is the ijma of all the Muslims.

Ibn Taymiyyah (rh) said: “And it is known from the religion (of Islam) by necessity and by the consensus of all Muslims that whoever legalizes to follow other than the religion of Islam or a Shariah other than the Shariah of Muhammad (ﷺ), he is a Kaafir. And his kufr is similar to that of the one who believes in some part of the book (Quran) and reject some of it.” [Majmua al-Fataawa (28/524)]

-Only a sincere believer is innocent of insulting Allah.

-The modus operandi of everyone else is to insult Allah.

Ibn Kathir (rh) said: “So Whosoever abandons the wise Shariah which was revealed upon Muhammad ibn Abdullah, the seal of the Prophets, and goes to other abrogated Shariah for judgment, he becomes a Kaafir. So how about the one who goes to al-Yaasiq (man-made law) for judgment and gives it precedence (over the Shariah of Muhammad (ﷺ). Whosoever does this has become a Kaafir by the Ijma of the Muslims.” [Al-Bidayah Wan-Nihayah,(Vol. 13,p119)]

-When you say to dismantle the shariah of Allah is minor kufr you are actually insulting Allah. -This insult is coming from the Saudi Salafis

Shaikh 'Abdul-'Azeez Ibn 'Abdullah Ibn Baaz said: "There is no Eeman for the one who believes the laws of the people and their opinions are superior to the Hukm of Allah and His Messenger or that they are equal to it or that they resemble it or who leaves it or replaces it with fabricated laws and institutions invented by people, even if he believes that the laws of Allah are more encompassing and more just." [Wujoob Tah'keem Shari'ah Allah' (pg. 16-17)]

9) THEY INSULT ALLAH BY SAYING ALLAH IS EVERYWHERE

-This insult is coming from the goofy sufis.

-This is the insult of the goofy sufis, the ashaira, the barelvi, the shias and even the habashis.

Allah is not everywhere in person because Allah is not in the brothel or the toilet.

or the pigsty

-To say Allah is everywhere insulting Him because some places are holy and some are unholy.

الرَّحْمَٰنُ عَلَى الْعَرْشِ اسْتَوَىٰ

The Most Beneficent (Allah) Istawa (rose over) the (Mighty) Throne (in a manner that suits His Majesty). (Ta-Ha 20:5)

-The other ayah that says Allah is above the heavens is surah 67:16

أَأَمِنتُم مَّن فِي السَّمَاءِ أَن يَخْسِفَ بِكُمُ الْأَرْضَ فَإِذَا هِيَ تَمُورُ

Do you feel secure that He, Who is over the heaven (Allah), will not cause the earth to sink with you, then behold it shakes (as in an earthquake)? (Al-Mulk 67:16)

-To say Allah is everywhere is absurd.

-The knowledge of Allah is everywhere but he himself is not everywhere with His dhaat (person)

-To say Allah is everywhere in person is zandaqa (heresy)

-The reason why the goofy sufis are keen to say that Allah is everywhere is because they believe in wahdatul wujood (union)

-They believe a man can become so pious that he can become Allah.

-Wahdatul wujood is the ideology of a man called ibn Arabi

-An ideology is the idea of a mad man.

-Islam is not an ideology; it is a creed.

Narrated Anas: Zaid bin Haritha came to the Prophet complaining about his wife. The Prophet kept on saying (to him), "Be afraid of Allah and keep your wife." Aisha said, "If Allah’s Apostle were to conceal anything (of the Quran) he would have concealed this Verse." Zainab used to boast before the wives of the Prophet and used to say, "You were given in marriage by your families, while I was married (to the Prophet) by Allah from over seven Heavens." And Thabit recited, "The Verse:-- ‘But (O Muhammad) you did hide in your heart that which Allah was about to make manifest, you did fear the people,’ (33.37) was revealed in connection with Zainab and Zaid bin Haritha." (Sahih Al-Bukhari, Volume 9, Book 93, Number 516)

-They are keen to promote the concept that Allah is everywhere because they believe in wahdatul wujood.

-They believe that Allah possesses people and when this happens the person becomes Allah.

-The hadith of the slave girl is the knockout punch for those who say Allah is everywhere.

10) THEY BELIEVE ALLAH BROKE HIS PROMISE TO PROTECT THE QURAN

They believe the Quran we have now is corrupted.

إِنَّا نَحْنُ نَزَّلْنَا الذِّكْرَ وَإِنَّا لَهُ لَحَافِظُونَ

Verily We: It is We Who have sent down the Dhikr (i.e. the Qur'an) and surely, We will guard it (from corruption). (Al-Hijr 15:9)

The Shiites insult Allah by saying the Quran we have now is a corrupted text because it has changed.

The place of worship of the Shiites is a temple not a masjid.

They preach in their temples that Allah broke His promise to protect the Quran.

11) ALLAH MANIFESTS HIMSELF IN THE FORM OF HUMAN BEINGS

-This is a lie of the Christians, Shiites, and NOI (Nation of Islam)

-The Christians say Jesus was God in flesh.

-The Shiites say Ali was God in flesh.

-Some Shiites claim this like Bashr al Asad

-They are called the alawites.

-NOI believes Muhammad was God in flesh.

-Master Farad Muhammad.*

-They claim that Allah came in the form of Master Farad Muhammad.

-There is an ayah we use to refute that Allah came on earth in the form of a man

The ayah we use is 42:51.

وَمَا كَانَ لِبَشَرٍ أَن يُكَلِّمَهُ اللَّهُ إِلَّا وَحْيًا أَوْ مِن وَرَاءِ حِجَابٍ أَوْ يُرْسِلَ رَسُولًا فَيُوحِيَ بِإِذْنِهِ مَا يَشَاءُ ۚ إِنَّهُ عَلِيٌّ حَكِيمٌ

It is not given to any human being that Allah should speak to him unless (it be) by Inspiration, or from behind a veil, or (that) He sends a Messenger to reveal what He wills by His Leave. Verily, He is Most High, Most Wise. (Ash-Shura 42:51)

Allah doesn't appear in the form of a man.

And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? There is none good but one, that is, God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments. [Mathew 19:17]

-The Christians claim Allah came in the form of Jesus.

-These people are guilty of lying on Allah.

-Jesus didn't agree for people to call him good so how can you call him God?

In the Quran Allah Said: surah 61 verse 7

وَمَنْ أَظْلَمُ مِمَّنِ افْتَرَىٰ عَلَى اللَّهِ الْكَذِبَ وَهُوَ يُدْعَىٰ إِلَى الْإِسْلَامِ ۚ وَاللَّهُ لَا يَهْدِي الْقَوْمَ الظَّالِمِينَ

And who does more wrong than the one who invents a lie against Allah, while he is being invited to Islam? And Allah guides not the people who are Zalimun (polytheists, wrong-doers and disbelievers) folk. (As-Saff 61:7)

-This question was put to a panel of scholars, the scholars of Najd.

WAS THE PROPHET MUHAMMAD A HUMAN OR WAS HE NOOR?

94. And nothing prevented men from believing when the guidance came to them, except that they said: "Has Allah sent a man as (His) Messenger'') (95. Say: "If there were on the earth, angels walking about in peace and security, We should certainly have sent down for them from the heaven an angel as a Messenger.'')

Our Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) is the leader of all the sons of Adam, and he is a human being, one of the sons of Adam. He was born from two parents, he ate food and married women, he got hungry and fell sick, and he felt joy and sorrow. One of the clearest signs of his humanity is that Allah caused him to die as He causes all souls to die, but what distinguish the Prophet (ﷺ) from others is Prophet hood and Revelation.

Allah says (interpretation of the meaning):

“Say (O Muhammad): I am only a man like you. It has been revealed to me that your Ilaah (God) is One Ilaah (God ___ i.e. Allah)” [al-Kahf 18:110]

The state of the Prophet (ﷺ) in his humanity is the same as that of all the Prophets and Messengers. Allah says (interpretation of the meaning): 

Praise be to Allah

Our Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) is the leader of all the sons of Adam, and he is a human being, one of the sons of Adam. He was born from two parents, he ate food and married women, he got hungry and fell sick, and he felt joy and sorrow. One of the clearest signs of his humanity is that Allah caused him to die as He causes all souls to die, but what distinguishes the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) from others is Prophethood and Revelation.

“And We did not create them (the Messengers, with) bodies that ate not food, nor were they immortals”[al-Anbiya’ 21:8]

Allah condemned those who wondered at the humanity of the Messenger (ﷺ), as He says (interpretation of the meaning):

“And they say: Why does this Messenger (Muhammad) eat food, and walk about in the markets (as we)…?”[al-Furqaan 25:8]

It is not permissible to overstep the mark with regard to what the Qur’aan states about the message and humanity of the Prophet (ﷺ). For example, it is not permissible to describe him (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) as being noor (light) or as casting no shadow, or to say that he was created from light.

Rather this is a kind of exaggeration which the Prophet (peace ﷺ) forbade when he said: “Do not exaggerate about me as was exaggerated about ‘Eesa (Jesus) ibn Maryam. Say: the slave of Allah and His Messenger.” Narrated by al-Bukhaari, 6830.

Moreover it is proven that the angels are the ones who were created from light, not any of the sons of Adam. The Prophet (ﷺ) said:

“The angels were created from light, and Iblees was created from smokeless fire, and Adam (peace be upon him) was created from what has been described to you.” Narrated by Muslim, 2996.

Shaykh al-Albaani (may Allah have mercy on him) said in al-Silsilah al-Saheehah (458):

This indicates that the well-known hadeeth (report) that is in circulation among people – “The first thing that Allah created was the light of your Prophet, O Jaabir” – is false, and so are other similar ahaadeeth (narrations) which say that the Prophet (ﷺ) was created from light.

This hadeeth clearly indicates that the angels are the only ones who are created from light, not Adam and his sons, so pay heed and do not be negligent. End quote.

The Standing Committee for Issuing Fatwas (religious verdicts) was asked the following question:

Here in Pakistan the scholars of the Bareilawi sect believe that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) cast no shadow, which indicates that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) was not human. Is this hadeeth saheeh (authentic) which says that the Prophet (ﷺ) had no shadow?

They replied: This view is false and goes against the texts of the Qur’aan and the saheeh Sunnah which indicate that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) was human and did not differ in his human make-up from other people. He had a shadow like any other human. The Prophethood with which Allah honoured him did not alter the fact that he was human as Allah created him, with a father and mother

Allah says (interpretation of the meaning): “Say (O Muhammad): I am only a man like you. It has been revealed to me that your Ilah (God) is One Ilaah (God i.e. Allah)” [al-Kahf 18:110]

“Their Messengers said to them: We are no more than human beings like you [Ibrahim 14:11]

With regard to the report that the Prophet (ﷺ) was created from the light of Allah, this is a fabricated hadeeth. End quote.
