Tafseer Al Qur'an Surah RUM (Ayat 47-60) (The Spiritually Dead Will Never Hear) [Notes]

TAFSIR SURAH RUM

(THE SPIRITUALLY DEAD WILL NEVER HEAR)

AUGUST 25, 2014 - 30 SHAWWAL 1435 HIJRI

AYAH 47

And indeed We did send Messengers before you (O Muhammad ) to their own peoples. They came to them with clear proofs, then, We took vengeance on those who committed crimes (disbelief, setting partners in worship with Allah, sins, etc.), and (as for) the believers it was incumbent upon Us to help (them). (Ar-Rum 30:47)

- In the above mentioned ayah Allah (سبحانه وتعالى) is telling us He has sent messengers to every nation.
- Therefore this ayah is similar to surah 16:36

Allah (سبحانه وتعالى) said in the Qur'an Surah An Nahl verse 36

And verily, We have sent among every Ummah (community, nation) a Messenger (proclaiming) : "Worship Allah (Alone), and avoid (or keep away from) Taghut (all false deities, etc. i.e. do not worship Taghut besides Allah)." Then of them were some whom Allah guided and of them were some upon whom the straying was justified So travel through the land and see what was the end of those who denied (the truth). (An-Nahl 16:36)

AYAH 48

Allah is He Who sends the winds, so they raise clouds, and spread them along the sky as He wills, and then break them into fragments, until you see rain drops come forth from their midst! Then when He has made them fall on whom of His slaves, as He will, lo! they rejoice! (Ar-Rum 30:48)

- Even the Prophet Muhammad () used to be delighted when he sees the rain.

Ata' b. Abi Rabah reported that he heard 'A'isha, the wife of the Apostle of Allah (), as saying: When there was on any day windstorm or dark cloud (its effects) could be read on the face of the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him), and he moved forward and backward (in a state of anxiety); and when it rained, he was delighted and it (the state of restlessness) disappeared. ‘A’isha said: I asked him the reason of this anxiety and he said: I was afraid that it might be a calamity that might fall upon my Ummah, and when he saw rainfall, he said: It is the mercy (of Allah) [Sahih Muslim Book 4, Hadith 1961 Sahih Muslim (2/616) Hadith 899]

- Two people's du'aa will never be rejected.

Sahl ibn Sa’d narrated the Messenger of Allah () said: "There are two which will not be rejected: du’aa’ at the time of the call (to prayer) and when it is raining." [Sunan Abu Dawud (3/21) No. 2540 and Sunan ad-Darime (1/293) No. 1200]

- Rain is a baraka on people so it delights people.
- In India farmers commit suicide if there is no rain.

AYAH 49

And verily before that (rain), just before it was sent down upon them, they were in despair! (Ar-Rum 30:49)

- The reason why people despair when it does not rain is that it sustains life.
- Without it all living things will die.

AYAH 50

Look then at the effects (results) of Allah's Mercy, how He revives the earth after its death. Verily! That (Allah) Who revived the earth after its death shall indeed raise the dead (on the Day of Resurrection), and He is Able to do all things. (Ar-Rum 30:50)

- Allah (سبحانه وتعالى) is using the earth as a similitude for resurrection and the resurrection is easy for Allah (سبحانه وتعالى) to do.

AYAH 51

And if We send a wind [which would spoil the green growth (tilth) brought up by the previous rain], and they see (their tilth) turn yellow, behold, they then after their being glad, would become unthankful (to their Lord Allah as) disbelievers. (Ar-Rum 30:51)

- Man rejoices when he experiences prosperity but despairs when he experiences hardship and sometimes, he insults Allah (سبحانه وتعالى) even.

Allah (سبحانه وتعالى) said in the Qur'an Surah Al Fajr verse 15 to 16

As for man, when his Lord tries him by giving him honour and gifts, then he says (puffed up) "My Lord has honoured me." But when He tries him, by straitening his means of life, he says: "My Lord has humiliated me!" (Al-Fajr 89:15-16)

- He says My Lord has disgraced me because your wealth is your honour.

- This is man; not every time; it rains it comes with barakah.
- Allah (
سبحانه وتعالى) said He can make the rain come with wind or make the crop yellow and then you will be ungrateful to Allah (سبحانه وتعالى).

AYAH 52

So verily, you (O Muhammad ) cannot make the dead to hear (i.e. the disbelievers, etc.), nor can you make the deaf to hear the call, when they show their backs, turning away. (Ar-Rum 30:52)

- The above-mentioned ayah is talking about THOSE WHO ARE SPIRITUALLY DEAD

- This ayah is telling us the worst death is spiritual death and the worst deafness is spiritual deafness.

And whoever is blind in this world (i.e., does not see Allah's Signs and believes not in Him), will be blind in the Hereafter, and more astray from the Path. (Al-Isra 17:72)

CAN DEAD PEOPLE HEAR?

“When a individual is placed in his grave and his companions return and he even hears their footsteps, two angels come to him, make him sit and ask: “What did you use to say regarding this man (i.e. Muhammad, )? The believer will say: “I bear testimony that he is the servant and Messenger of Allah” It will be said to him: “Look at your place in the fire of Hell, Allah has changed instead of it a place for you in Paradise” So he will see both of his places [(Sahih al-Bukhari, (1308) & Sahih Muslim (2870)]

- This Hadith tells us the dead can hear.

Narrated By Ibn 'Umar: The Prophet () looked at the people of the well (the well in which the bodies of the pagans killed in the Battle of Badr were thrown) and said, "Have you found true what your Lord promised you?" Somebody said to him, "You are addressing dead people." He replied, “you do not hear better than they but they cannot reply." [Al-Bukhari (1370) and Muslim (2874)]

- Those who claim the dead can't hear use the ayah below.

Allah (سبحانه وتعالى) said in the Qur'an Surah Fatir verse 14

If you invoke (or call upon) them, they hear not your call, and if (in case) they were to hear, they could not grant it (your request) to you. And on the Day of Resurrection, they will disown your worshipping them. And none can inform you (O Muhammad ) like Him Who is the All Knower (of each and everything). (Fatir 35:14)

Allah (سبحانه وتعالى) said in the Qur'an Surah Fatir verse 14

And none can inform you (O Muhammad ) like Him Who is the All Knower (of each and everything). (Fatir 35:14)

- The Tafsir for the ayah is
- The dead can hear but Allah (
سبحانه وتعالى) blocks them from hearing your kufr, shirk and zandaqa

- As a mercy for the dead because when you pray to them you are doing shirk.

- You are worshipping the dead.

- Dua is ibaada, therefore you are worshipping them by making dua to the dead

Nu’man ibn Bashir (RA) narrated the Prophet () said, “The supplication is itself worship.” Then he recited. And your Lord says, “Call upon Me, and I shall answer you. Surely those who are too arrogant to worship Me, they shall enter Hell, disgraced.” (40: 60) [Tirmidhi (5/456) No. 3372, Abu Dawud (2/76) No. 1479, Ibn Majah (5/5) No. 3828, Ahmad (4/271) No. 18410]

AYAH 53

And you (O Muhammad ) cannot guide the blind from their straying; you can make to hear only those who believe in Our Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) and have submitted to Allah in Islam (as Muslims). (Ar-Rum 30:53)

- So, Allah (سبحانه وتعالى) told us that the spiritually dead and deaf turn their backs from the message of Islam and these people are also spiritually blind.
- They turn their backs on Islam because they are loyal to a fault.

- example is their heritage or culture.

Allah (سبحانه وتعالى) said in the Qur'an Surah Al Baqarah verse 170

When it is said to them: "Follow what Allah has sent down." They say: "Nay! We shall follow what we found our fathers following." (Would they do that!) Even though their fathers did not understand anything nor were they guided? (Al-Baqarah 2:170)

- How can you follow heritage.
- Hindus worship monkey
; some people worship the Buddha
- How can you be loyal to such things?
- How can you be loyal to ''Holy Mary mother of God''?
- How can you be loyal to the Hindu gods?

-A person is loyal to a fault when they are loyal to baatil.

- So, Allah (سبحانه وتعالى) is saying some people are spiritually dead, deaf and blind and that is the worst blind man.

- Because the blind man embraced Islam,

How did he see the beauty of Islam?

- What did he use to see the beauty of Islam?

- He used his heart to do so

- Therefore; the real blind man is the one blind in his heart.

If you are not blind in your heart you have hope

- Just like Abdullah ibn Umm Makhtum and Allah (سبحانه وتعالى) revealed a surah about him in Surah Abasa.

AYAH 54

Allah is He Who created you in (a state of) weakness, then gave you strength after weakness, then after strength gave (you) weakness and grey hair. He creates what He wills. And it is He Who is the All Knowing, the All Powerful (i.e. Able to do all things). (Ar-Rum 30:54)

-Allah (سبحانه وتعالى) is saying you are a man once, but you are a child twice.

- You become old until you turn to a child again.
- Because then you will need everything to be done for you.

The Prophet ()  said, "Yes." So we became very glad on that day. In the meantime, a slave of Al-Mughira passed by, and he was of the same age as I was. The Prophet said. "If this (slave) should live long, he will not reach the geriatric old age, but the Hour will be established." [Sahih Bukhari, Vol 8, Book 73, Hadith #188]

- The Prophet () used to make du'aa from geriatric old age.
- The age in which you become impotent and senile
- You can't even string a needle

'A'isha (RA) narrrated the Prophet () used to say:

(Allahumma inni A'udhu bika min al-kasal wal-haram, wal-ma'tham wal-maghrim, wa-min Fitnatil-Qabr, wa 'Adhabil-Qabr wa-min fitnatil-Naar wa-'Adhabin-Naar, wa-min sharri Fitnatil-Ghina, wa-A'udhu bika min Fitnatil-Faqr, wa-A'udhu bika min Fitnatil-Masihid-Dajjal, Allahum-maghsil 'Anni khatayaya bi-ma'ith-Thalji wal-Bardi, wa-naqqa Qalbi min al-Khataya kama naqaitath-Thawbal-Abyada minad-Danas, wa-ba'id bayni wa-bayna Khatayaya kama ba'Adta baynal-Mashriq wal-Maghrib).

"O Allah! I seek refuge with You from laziness and old age, from all kinds of sins and from being in debt; from the affliction of the Fire and from the punishment of the Fire and from the evil of the affliction of wealth; and I seek refuge with You from the affliction of poverty, and I seek refuge with You from the affliction of Al-Messiah Ad-Dajjal. O Allah! Wash away my sins with the water of snow and hail, and cleanse my heart from all the sins as a white garment is cleansed from the filth, and let there be a long distance between me and my sins, as You made East and West far from each other." [al-Bukhari (6368) and Muslim (589)]

- In surah Ya sin Allah (سبحانه وتعالى) said;

Allah (سبحانه وتعالى) said in the Qur'an Surah Ya Sin verse 68

And he whom We grant long life, We reverse him in creation (weakness after strength). Will they not then understand? (Ya-Sin 36:68)

Allah (سبحانه وتعالى) is reminding us that we will become weak after strength.
- So don't brag about your youth.

- You have a journey to embark on- from the womb to the tomb.

'Amr bin Maimun narrated the Messenger of Allah () advised a man: “Make the most of five things before five others: youth before old age, health before sickness, wealth before poverty, free time before becoming busy and life before death." [al-Sunan al-Kubra al-Nasa'i (10/400) No. 11832, Shu'ab al-Iman al-Bayhaqi (12/477) No. 9768, Mustadrak al-Haakim (4/341) No. 7846, Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah (7/77) No. 34319]

AYAH 55

And on the Day that the Hour will be established, the Mujrimun (criminals, disbelievers, polytheists, sinners, etc.) will swear that they stayed not but an hour, thus were they ever deluded [away from the truth (i.e. they used to tell lies and take false oaths, and turn away from the truth) in this life of the world)]. (Ar-Rum 30:55)

- They used to lie on Allah (سبحانه وتعالى).

- Like the Jews used to lie on Allah (سبحانه وتعالى),

- They said Allah (سبحانه وتعالى) is poor and they are rich.

- They said Allah's (سبحانه وتعالى) Hands are tired,

Allah (سبحانه وتعالى) said in the Qur'an Surah Al Imran Verse 181

Indeed, Allah has heard the statement of those (Jews) who say: "Truly, Allah is poor and we are rich!" We shall record what they have said and their killing of the Prophets unjustly, and We shall say: "Taste you the torment of the burning (Fire)." (Aali Imran 3:181)

The Jews say: "Allah's Hand is tied up (i.e. He does not give and spend of His Bounty)." Be their hands tied up and be they accursed for what they uttered. Nay, both His Hands are widely outstretched. He spends (of His Bounty) as He wills.  (Al-Ma'idah 5:64)

How do the Christians lie on Allah?

- They do so by saying Allah (سبحانه وتعالى) beget a son.

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. (John 3:16) King James Version

- How can you accuse Allah (سبحانه وتعالى) of begetting a Son?

- When this means to impregnate women by intercourse.

- They also said Allah (سبحانه وتعالى) repented He made man.

- Who did Allah (سبحانه وتعالى) repent to?

- This is ridiculous.

And it repented the LORD that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart. (Genesis 6:6) King James Version

- They said Allah (سبحانه وتعالى) rested and was refreshed (audhubillah).

- This is kufr, shirk and zandaqa

It will be a sign between me and the Israelites forever, for in six days the LORD made the heavens and the earth, and on the seventh day he rested and was refreshed.'"  (Exodus 31:17) Kings James Versions

- The agnostic casts a doubt on Allah (سبحانه وتعالى).

- The atheist denies the existence of Allah (سبحانه وتعالى).

- He is sure

- The polytheist lies on Allah (سبحانه وتعالى), by giving Him partners

- He sets up rivals on Allah (سبحانه وتعالى).

How does the Pantheist lie on Allah (سبحانه وتعالى).

- The Greek word pan means all.

- So, he the pantheist says the creation is all Allah (سبحانه وتعالى).

- He makes no difference between the creator and the creation.

- Because the creation is divine.

The nation of Islam said Allah (سبحانه وتعالى) came on earth in the form of a man.

- So, everybody is lying on Allah (سبحانه وتعالى) save the Muslim.

-The Qadiyani says Allah sent Ghulam Ahmad as a prophet after Muhammad ()

Allah (سبحانه وتعالى) said in the Qur'an Surah As Saff verse 7

And who does more wrong than the one who invents a lie against Allah, while he is being invited to Islam? And Allah guides not the people who are Zalimun (polytheists, wrong-doers and disbelievers) folk. (As-Saff 61:7)

- So the one who lies on Allah (سبحانه وتعالى) is the evilest of all men.

-The Madkhali says to dismantle the shariah is minor kufr

- They say "forget about the Shariah".

- May Allah (سبحانه وتعالى) guide the sincere ones among them and break the backs of the hypocrites among them.

-The Shiites say Allah (سبحانه وتعالى) makes mistakes and broke His promise to protect the Qur'an.

SHIA HUJJAH: “Allah often lies and does mistakes”

[Usool-al-Kafi, page 328, Yacoob Kulayni, Vol. 1]

- They elevate their imams above Allah (سبحانه وتعالى).

All the Imams are infallible just like the prophets. The Shia derives their religion from their immaculate (infallible) Imams" (Usool al Kafi, p. 22)

- Now you know; why the heads of Shiites are severed from their bodies and hung on poles.

- They are worst than Jews and Christians.

- I don't know why they call themselves Muslims.

- They are very dangerous people.

A comparison between the present Quran and the original Quran (which was compiled by Imam Ali (r.a) will be brought by Imam Mahdi when he appears before the Day of Judgment. (Usul Kaafi, Vol. 2, p. 123)

The present Quran is in an altered, corrupted and distorted form. (Fatuhat-e-Shia, p. 129)

How does the Goofy Sufi lie on Allah?

- They say Allah (سبحانه وتعالى) is everywhere.

- Some say Allah (سبحانه وتعالى) is nowhere.

-Abu Haneefa used to make Takfir on these retards.

Abu Muti' Al-Balkhi reported: "I asked Imam Abu Hanifah about a person who says, 'I do not know whether my Rabb is, above the heavens or on earth?' Abu Hanifah, may Allah grant him His mercy, said: 'A person who makes such a statement becomes an apostate because Allah, the Exalted says, 'The Merciful has ascended above the 'Arsh, and the 'Arsh of Allah is above His heavens'. I further asked Abu Hanifah, 'What if such a person admits, Allah is above His 'Arsh, but exclaims, I do not know whether His 'Arsh is above the heavens or on earth'. Abu Hanifah responded: 'If he denies that the 'Arsh is above the heavens, he is an apostate." [Sharh at-Tahawiyyah, p. 288]

- To learn Tawheed is Fiqh al Akbar.

-Because it will lead you to Paradise or Hellfire.

For this reason, we find that Imam Abu Hanifah called his collection of studies in Usul ud-Deen (Tawheed, Wala and Bara, Izhaar ud-Deen) ‘Al-Fiqh ul-Akbar’ (The greatest fiqh).

The kuffaar will admit on judgement day that they turned away from the message.

It almost bursts up with fury. Every time a group is cast therein, its keeper will ask: "Did no warner come to you?" They will say: "Yes indeed; a warner did come to us, but we belied him and said: 'Allah never sent down anything (of revelation), you are only in great error.'" And they will say: "Had we but listened or used our intelligence, we would not have been among the dwellers of the blazing Fire!" Then they will confess their sin. So, away with the dwellers of the blazing Fire. (Al-Mulk 67:8-11)

The worst of created creatures are those who can't use their aql.

- They are beast.

- Allah (سبحانه وتعالى) gave them a brain but they don't use it.

Verily! The worst of (moving) living creatures with Allah are the deaf and the dumb, those who understand not (i.e. the disbelievers). (Al-Anfal 8:22)

AYAH 56

And those who have been bestowed with knowledge and faith will say: "Indeed you have stayed according to the Decree of Allah, until the Day of Resurrection, so this is the Day of Resurrection, but you knew not." (Ar-Rum 30:56)

- The shaitaan has knowledge but no iman (Faith).

- The wicket scholar is the shaitaan.

- You were given time in the dunya according to Allah's Qadr.

- The purpose of seeking knowledge is to draw nearer to Allah (سبحانه وتعالى).

- If you are sincere, the knowledge will give you Iman (Faith).

- There are people who have a PhD and do not perform instinjah.

- They are the first to reject the khilaafah.

- They prefer to live Darul harb than to live in the shariah.

- Hijrah, Jihad, Khilaafah, and Shariah: these four things are not on their agenda.

Abu Hurairah (RA) reported: the Messenger of Allah () said, "He who does not acquire knowledge with the sole intention of seeking the Pleasure of Allah but for worldly gain, will not smell the fragrance of Jannah on the Day of Resurrection." [Sunan Abu Dawud (3/323) No. 3664, Sunan Ibn Majah (1/169) No. 252, Musnad Ahmad (2/338) No. 8438]

AYAH 57

So on that Day no excuse of theirs will avail those who did wrong (by associating partners in worship with Allah, and by denying the Day of Resurrection), nor will they be allowed (then) to return to seek Allah's Pleasure (by having Islamic Faith with righteous deeds and by giving up polytheism, sins and crimes with repentance). (Ar-Rum 30:57)

- The wicket scholars preach the excuse of ignorance for worshipping false deities.

Allah (سبحانه وتعالى) said in the Qur'an Surah Al A'raf verse 172

And (remember) when your Lord brought forth from the Children of Adam, from their loins, their seed (or from Adam's loin his offspring) and made them testify as to themselves (saying): "Am I not your Lord?" They said: "Yes! We testify," lest you should say on the Day of Resurrection: "Verily, we have been unaware of this." (Al-A'raf 7:172)

- They give the excuse of ignorance to anyone who worships a false deity.

- Don't worship a false deity and than use the excuse of ignorance.

- This excuse is weak.

Allah (سبحانه وتعالى) said in the Qur'an Surah Al Mu'minum verse 99 to 100

Until, when death comes to one of them (those who join partners with Allāh), he says: "My Lord! Send me back, "So that I may do good in that which I have left behind!" No! It is but a word that he speaks, and behind them is Barzakh (a barrier) until the Day when they will be resurrected. (Al-Mu'minun 23:99-100)

- If Allah (سبحانه وتعالى) were to put you back in the dunya, you would do the same thing as indicated in the above verses.

- They would become a worse shaitaan if Allah were to put him back.

AYAH 58

And indeed, We have set forth for mankind, in this Qur'ān every kind of parable. But if you (O Muhammad ) bring to them any sign or proof, (as an evidence for the truth of your Prophet hood), the disbelievers are sure to say (to the believers): "You follow nothing but falsehood, and magic." (Ar-Rum 30:58)

- Allah (سبحانه وتعالى) said every parable is in the book, meaning every subject is in the Quran.

- Allah (سبحانه وتعالى) left out nothing that would keep you from being guided to the straight path.

Allah (سبحانه وتعالى) said in the Qur'an Surah An An'am verse 38

There is not a moving (living) creature on earth, nor a bird that flies with its two wings, but are communities like you. We have neglected nothing in the Book, then unto their Lord they (all) shall be gathered. (Al-An'am 6:38)

- Any subject you want is in the Qur'an.

- History, grammar, psychology it is a comprehensive book.

Allah (سبحانه وتعالى) said in the Qur'an Surah Ash Shura verse 13

Intolerable for the Mushrikûn , is that to which you (O Muhammad ) call them. Allāh chooses for Himself whom He wills, and guides unto Himself who turns to Him in repentance and in obedience. (Ash-Shura 42:13)

- They are addictive to their evil and corrupted desires.

- You are telling them to give up Pork, Nightclubs, Girls, and casino.

- The Islam you are inviting them to be intolerable because they are addicted to their evil and corrupted desires.

- They think Islam is too restrictive or difficult or has too many rules.

- They deny Judgement Day, because they believe if they have to stand before Allah (سبحانه وتعالى) they are sure losers.

- They deny giving comfort and hoping to themselves.

Allah (سبحانه وتعالى) said in the Qur'an Surah An Nazi'at verse 10 to 12

They say: "Shall we indeed be returned to (our) former state of life? "Even after we are crumbled bones?" They say: "It would in that case, be a return with loss!" (An-Nazi'at 79:10-12)

- Because in the dunya; they were not righteous.

- They did every haram you could think of

- The thought of judgement day is too uncomfortable for them.

- They don't want to talk about it, but it is good to talk about it because it reminds you of your death.

Sulayman ibn Buraydah reported from his father that Allah’s Messenger () said, “I had disallowed you to visit graves. Now, indeed, Muhammad has been permitted to visit the grave of his mother. So, you (too) visit graves, for, that reminds of the Hereafter.” (Tirmidhi 1056)

Ibn Buraida reported on the authority of his father that the Messenger of Allah () said: I forbade you to visit graves, but you may now visit them; I forbade you to eat the flesh of sacrificial animals after three days, but you way now keep it as long as you feel inclined; and I forbade you nabidh except in a water-skin, you may drink it from all kinds of water-skins, but you must not drink anything intoxicating. [Sahih Muslim, Book 4, Hadith #2131]

AYAH 59

Thus does Allāh seal up the hearts of those who know not [the proofs and evidence of the Oneness of Allāh i.e. those who try not to understand true facts that which you (Muhammad ) have brought to them]. (Ar-Rum 30:59)

- Allah (سبحانه وتعالى) is saying that some people, Allah (سبحانه وتعالى) have sealed their hearts.

- People like the Nimrod, the Pharaoh, Abu Lahab and Abu Jahl.

- They met prophets face to face and rejected the faith.

- Allah (سبحانه وتعالى) spoke about them in 2:67

Allah (سبحانه وتعالى) said in the Qur'an Surah Al Baqarah verse 6 to 7

Verily, those who disbelieve, it is the same to them whether you (O Muhammad Peace be upon him ) warn them or do not warn them, they will not believe. Allāh has set a seal on their hearts and on their hearings, (i.e. they are closed from accepting Allāh's Guidance), and on their eyes there is a covering. Theirs will be a great torment. (Al-Baqarah 2:6-7)

- When your heart is sealed; kufr, shirk and zandaqa (Heresy) will never come out.

- Islam, Iman and Ihsaan will never enter their heart.

- That person is finished.

-Ihsaan means  The perfection of faith

AYAH 60

So be patient (O Muhammad ). Verily, the Promise of Allāh is true, and let not those who have no certainty of faith, discourage you from conveying Allāh's Message (which you are obliged to convey). (Ar-Rum 30:60)

Abu Talib said to Muhammad () “O my brother’s son if you didn’t stop I am afraid that they will hurt you” the Holy Prophet () emotionally replied “O uncle by Allah if they put the sun in my right hand the moon in my left hand on condition that I abandon this course, until Allah has made me victorious, or I perish therein, I would not abandon it" The Prophet () got up, and as he turned away, his uncle called him and said, "Come back, My nephew," and when he came back, he said, "Go and preach what you please, for by Allah I will never forsake you." I will not stop preaching the message until Allah takes my life” [Ar Raheeq Al MaKhtum (The Sealed Nectar) Page 105} [Ibn Hisham 1/265] Seerah an-Nabawiyyah Ibn Katheer (1/474)]

- Allah (سبحانه وتعالى) told the Prophet () to have sabr.

Allah (سبحانه وتعالى) said in the Qur'an Surah Al Anfal verse 46

And obey Allāh and His Messenger, and do not dispute (with one another) lest you lose courage and your strength depart and be patient. Surely, Allāh is with those who are As-Sābirin (the patient ones, etc.). (Al-Anfal 8:46)

Allah (سبحانه وتعالى) said in the Qur'an Surah Al Asr verse 1 to 3

By Al-'Asr (the time). Verily! Man is in loss, (Al-'Asr 103:1-2)

Except those who believe (in Islamic Monotheism) and do righteous good deeds, and recommend one another to the truth (i.e. order one another to perform all kinds of good deeds (Al-Ma'ruf)which Allah has ordained, and abstain from all kinds of sins and evil deeds (Al-Munkar)which Allah has forbidden), and recommend one another to patience (for the sufferings, harms, and injuries which one may encounter in Allah's Cause during preaching His religion of Islamic Monotheism or Jihad, etc) (Al-'Asr 103:3)

- Allah (سبحانه وتعالى) mentions the haqq and sabr side by side.
