INVALIDATIONS OF ACTIONS
Part 1 of 4
It's important that you safeguard your pious deeds:
-they are the only currency that will be accepted by ALLAH on the Day of Judgment
1.
Major Shirk
-If you commit minor shirk, only one deed is nullified (the deed that accompanied it)
The Rasul ﷺ
was the most righteous person to walk the face of the earth
-INSPITE of that, ALLAH warns the RASUL ﷺ to abstain from Shirk
And indeed, it has been revealed to you (O Muhammad ﷺ), as it was to those (Allah's Messengers) before you: "If you join others in worship with Allah, (then) surely (all) your deeds will be in vain, and you will certainly be among the losers." (Az-Zumar 39:65)
If he was the prophet, yet
he was warned about shirk
- What about for us?
PIOUS PEOPLE:
-Mother
Teresa is NOT in Paradise (she was a Roman Catholic, NOT A Muslim):
-she
believed in "Holy Mary, Mother of God"
-she committed shirk
STORY FROM UK:
Shaikh
was having dinner with friends and there was a Barelvis there
-he didn’t cause a scene but he let the person know he is a kaafir
-Mother
Teresa doesn’t stand a chance, no matter how many good deeds she committed
-Barelvis’ aqeedah is nonexistent (same as Goofi Sufi and Deobandi)
-ALLAH mentioned people like Mother Teresa >>>> 24:39
As for those who disbelieve, their deeds are like a mirage in a desert. The thirsty one thinks it to be water, until he comes up to it, he finds it to be nothing, but he finds Allah with him, Who will pay him his due (Hell). And Allah is Swift in taking account. (An-Nur 24:39)
-people like
Mother Teresa will come on Judgment Day expecting to find:
-lots of
good deeds piled up (she fed thousands of people), but she will find NONE why
not?
-she
committed shirk (only sin Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَىٰ) doesn’t forgive
-whatever good deeds she did in the dunya, no matter how great, were nullified
2. Apostasy
-more
examples of shirk: worshipping the grave, to mess with black magic
-if a person
should apostate from Islam, EVEN his Wudu is broken
-if he should decide to return to Islam, he must make Ghusl
They ask you concerning fighting in the Sacred Months (i.e. 1st, 7th, 11th and 12th months of the Islamic calendar). Say, "Fighting therein is a great (transgression) but a greater (transgression) with Allah is to prevent mankind from following the Way of Allah, to disbelieve in Him, to prevent access to Al-Masjid-al-Haram (at Makkah), and to drive out its inhabitants, and Al-Fitnah is worse than killing. And they will never cease fighting you until they turn you back from your religion (Islamic Monotheism) if they can. And whosoever of you turns back from his religion and dies as a disbeliever, then his deeds will be lost in this life and in the Hereafter, and they will be the dwellers of the Fire. They will abide therein forever." (Al-Baqarah 2:217
Surely, they have disbelieved who say: "Allah is the Messiah ['Iesa (Jesus)], son of Maryam (Mary)." But the Messiah ['Iesa (Jesus)] said: "O Children of Israel! Worship Allah, my Lord and your Lord." Verily, whosoever sets up partners in worship with Allah, then Allah has forbidden Paradise for him, and the Fire will be his abode. And for the Zalimun (polytheists and wrongdoers) there are no helpers. (Al-Ma'idah 5:72)
ALLAH spoke of the nullification of one’s deeds in 2:217
3. Hypocrisy
-Hypocrisy nullifies ALL of your pious deeds
And nothing prevents their contributions from being accepted from them except that they disbelieved in Allah and in His Messenger (Muhammad SAW); and that they came not to As-Salat (the prayer) except in a lazy state; and that they offer not contributions but unwillingly. (At-Tawbah 9:54)
-these hypocrites
HATE spending for the sake of ALLAH
-Salat ul Fajr, Ramadan, Zakat, Jihad = all these acts are burdens for them
Those who believe say: "Why is not a Surah (chapter of the Qur'an) sent down (for us)? But when a decisive Surah (explaining and ordering things) is sent down, and fighting (Jihad holy fighting in Allah's Cause) is mentioned (i.e. ordained) therein, you will see those in whose hearts is a disease (of hypocrisy) looking at you with a look of one fainting to death. But it was better for them (hypocrites, to listen to Allah and to obey Him). (Muhammad 47:20)
-Hypocrisy nullifies all your pious deeds, as you ALLOW doubts to encroach upon your soul
'If a person should become a Muslim, ALLAH will reward him for all of his pious deeds from jahiliyiah'
--but the
kaafir who did good, he will only get his reward in the dunya
--he has no
reward in the Hereafter
--a person
fed the poor and kept good relations during the time of the Rasul,
--yet the
Rasul said this man has no reward in Paradise because
--he never asked for forgiveness from ALLAH (سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَىٰ)
(Remember) the Day when the Shin shall be laid bare (i.e. the Day of Resurrection) and they shall be called to prostrate (to Allah), but they (hypocrites) shall not be able to do so, (Al-Qalam 68:42
HADITH RE: KAAFIR IN THE HEREAFTER: (no source) the kaafir who does good in this life will receive his reward for them in this life, but he will be punished in hereafter for his disbelief.
4. Showing off (riya) nullifies your pious deeds
--riya is the opposite
of ikhlaas
--the Rasul ﷺ said 'abstain from showing off, it is like the black ant climbing a black wall
The Noble Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said: "Ash-Shirk-al-Khafi in the Muslim nation is more inconspicuous than the creeping of black ant on black rock in the pitch-darkness of the night." And this inconspicuous Shirk is expiated by saying thrice the following sentences within a day and a night: "O Allah! I take Your refuge from that I should ascribe anything as partner in Your worship, being conscious of that, and I beg Your pardon for that sin which I am not aware of."
You are
allowed to do a good deed in public in order to incite people to do that good
deed,
--as well, (such
as giving charity in public)
--your intention is to incite others to spend for the sake of ALLAH سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَىٰ
O you who believe! do not make your charity worthless by reproach and injury, like him who spends his property to be seen of men and does not believe in Allah and the last day; so his parable is as the parable of a smooth rock with earth upon it, then a heavy rain falls upon it, so it leaves it bare; they shall not be able to gain anything of what they have earned; and Allah does not guide the unbelieving people.] (Al-Baqarah 2:264)
Shirk of showing off (riya) nullifies the deed you did when you did it
--you can give away charity in public (in order to incite others to
spend Fesabilillah)
--Abu Dujana
took the sword from the Prophet and walked in a proud manner
--to incite others for the sake of ALLAH سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَىٰ
3
people will be brought on Day of Judgment:
1. A wicked
scholar
2. The man who spent a lot of money -- to show
off
3. The
mujahid who fought in many battles w/o proper intention
--he did not
fight for the sake of ALLAH سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَىٰ; he fought for glory
--you are NOT allowed to show off with your knowledge
--the Rasul
said 'Anyone who seeks knowledge to show off or debate with the layman
--will never smell the fragrance of paradise'
Examples:
A neighbour has a car, and his car broke down while he was going downtown -- his neighbours is also going downtown but does not bother to give him a ride-- this is neglecting a small act of charity, (neglecting charity is not allowed)
A prostitute living in the
time of Musa ﷺ gave a dog water to quench its thirst
-ALLAH سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَىٰ forgave her for her sins
Narrated by Abu Huraira the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, "A prostitute was forgiven by Allah, because, passing by a panting dog near a well and seeing that the dog was about to die of thirst, she took off her shoe, and tying it with her head-cover she drew out some water for it. So, Allah forgave her because of that." [Sahih Bukhari (4/130) No. 3321]
One day the Rasul ﷺ a man writing bismillah- irrahman nir-rahim, and that man wrote it in a beautiful way, ALLAH forgave this man for his sins
5. to do a good act of
charity, but then you follow it up with injury
-there are people out who do acts of charity, but they use that act to harm you
It has been reported that a man was brought before Abdullah bin Mas'ud (RA) because his beard was giving out smell of wine. Ibn Mas'ud said: "We have been prohibited from spying (on Muslims) and finding faults (with them). But if something is clear to us, then we punish for it." [Sunan Abu Dawud (4/272-273) No. 4890]
Examples:
1) If you gave a brother some shoes on EID and that brother shows up at the masjid with the shoes, don’t announce to everyone you’re the person who bought the shoes keep it to yourself
2) If a man takes a woman out for lunch, here in the western lands, he wants to get in bed with you
3) If you’re a businesswoman and a man takes you out for lunch, he's only seeking some benefit for his own business or his own affairs
Abu Huraira reported Allah's Apostle (ﷺ) as saying: The servant (who conceals) the faults of others in this world, Allah would conceal his faults on the Day of Resurrection. [Sahih Muslim, Book 32, Hadith #6267]
-You are not allowed to give gifts with ulterior motives
2:264 ALLAH speaks about those who do charity but follows it up with injury
O you who believe! Do not render in vain your Sadaqah (charity) by reminders of your generosity or by injury, like him who spends his wealth to be seen of men, Sahih Muslim, 3.1514: Hadith1905
HADITH of the 3 people resurrected on Judgment Day:
Abu
Hurayra reported that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ), said, "There are three
people that Allah will not speak to on the Day of Rising nor purify nor look at
and they will have a painful punishment: an old adulterer, a lying ruler and a
poor person who is arrogant." [Sahih Muslim (1/102) No. 107, Musnad Ahmad
(2/480) No. 10232]
The first person judged on Resurrection Day will be a man martyred
in battle.
06 Hadith Qudsi
On the authority of Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him), who said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) say: The first of people against whom judgment will be pronounced on the Day of Resurrection will be a man who died a martyr. He will be brought and Allah will make known to him His favours and he will recognize them. [ The Almighty] will say: And what did you do about them? He will say: I fought for you until I died a martyr. He will say: You have lied - you did but fight that it might be said [of you]: He is courageous. And so it was said. Then he will be ordered to be dragged along on his face until he is cast into Hell-fire
NULLIFYING YOUR DEEDS:
-reminding the person of the charity you gave them
O you who believe! Do not render in vain your Sadaqah (charity) by reminders of your generosity or by injury, like him who spends his wealth to be seen of men, and he does not believe in Allah, nor in the Last Day.
Why is ALLAH reminding the
prophet of His many favours to him?
- Because the
kuffar were waging psychological warfare against the Prophet
-the kuffar were saying "ALLAH has abandoned you"
-because one
day the Rasul was asked for an answer and the Rasul replied that he will bring
it tomorrow, but he forgot to say Insha’Allah
-which
caused the Angel Gabriel (as) not to bring the knowledge on that day
-therefore,
ALLAH taught the Prophet the guidance, and helped him in the dunya
-this
defeated the claims of the kuffar that
-'ALLAH is angry with Muhammad and has forsaken him'
Abu Sufyan, (at the battle
of Uhud) yelled and said:
-"Our
dead have answered your dead"
-The Prophet
told Umar to shout out:
-"Our dead are in Paradise; your dead are in the Hellfire"
Every time a kaafir says something to you, you should have the LAST answer
If a Christian
criticizes you on polygamy, call them a hypocrite:
-it is taught in their Bible!
When they criticize
you about Jihad, then reply:
-'If jihad
is a bad thing, why did America participate in it by sending stinger missiles
to the mujahideen'?
-re: in 1980s, missiles were sent for Afghanis to use to fight the Soviet Union, who invaded Afghanistan
Invalidations of Actions (Part 2 of 4)
-You need your pious deeds because ALLAH said "Those whose scales are heavy with pious deeds, will live in Paradise; those whose scales are light, will go to the Blazing Fire"
1. Shirk
If you commit major shirk,
all of your pious deeds are nullified
-Christians
do shirk, as do those who pray to the inhabitants to the graves, those Shias
who worship Ali and
-Hasan and Hussein, etc. (mushrik)
Az-Zumar 39|65|And it was already revealed to you and to those before you that if you should associate [anything] with Allah, your work would surely become worthless, and you would surely be among the losers."
2. Apostasy
-the eating
of camel meat, urinating, etc., BREAKS your wudu
-APOSTASY
breaks your wudu, as well
-when an apostate comes back to Islam, he must do ghusl
Apostasy nullifies your pious deeds >>> 2:217
Al-Baqarah 2|217|They ask you about the sacred month - about fighting therein. Say, "Fighting therein is great [sin], but averting [people] from the way of Allah and disbelief in Him and [preventing access to] al-Masjid al-Haram and the expulsion of its people therefrom are greater [evil] in the sight of Allah. And fitnah is greater than killing." And they will continue to fight you until they turn you back from your religion if they are able. And whoever of you reverts from his religion [to disbelief] and dies while he is a disbeliever - for those, their deeds have become worthless in this world and the Hereafter, and those are the companions of the Fire, they will abide therein eternally.
3. Hypocrisy
-the Munafiqh is not sure about his faith
Al-Baqarah 2|10|In their hearts is disease, so Allah has increased their disease; and for them is a painful punishment because they [habitually] used to lie.
At-Taubah 9|54|And what prevents their expenditures from being accepted from them but that they have disbelieved in Allah and in His Messenger and that they come not to prayer except while they are lazy and that they do not spend except while they are unwilling.
When Munafiqh spend 'for
the sake of ALLAH,' they do not spend willingly, but unwillingly:
-Salat ul Fajr, Ramadan, Zakah, Jihad = all these acts are burdens for
them
-so, the munafiqh deeds are nullified because they have doubts about their faith
4. To show off
-doing good deeds to impress others means that your intentions are impure; your deeds are nullified
-The Rasul
said 'on Judgment Day, a great scholar, fighter, and spender will come....
-The scholar had knowledge in order to show off; he will be dragged on his face and will be thrown into the fire
-The fighter
will be asked by ALLAH on why he fought he will say for the sake of ALLAH
-but indeed he fought to be called a brave heart,
-The spender
spent not for the sake of ALLAH but he spent to be called kind- hearted
-these three people had impure intentions; they had ulterior motives behind their deeds “riya” (showing off) is the opposite of Ikhlas
Abu Musa
al-Ash’ari (RA) reported that Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ)
said: "O people, save yourselves from this shirk (ash-Shirk al-Khafi) for
it is more inconspicuous than the creeping of ant." So someone, whom Allah
willed to say, said: 'How do we save ourselves from it while it is more
inconspicuous than the creeping of ant ya Rasool Allah?' Prophet (ﷺ)
said: “Say: Allahumma inni audhubika minal nushrika bika shayaan na'alamuhu, wa
nastaghfiruka
5. when you do charity, then follow it up with injury
2:264
-when you
spend for the sake of ALLAH, don’t keep reminding a person about your charity:
-this nullifies your sadaqa
The 7 people
under the shade of the Day of Judgment:
-the Rasul ﷺ said "7 people will be under the shade on Judgment Day when there will be no shade but the Shade of ALLAH:
Abu Huraira narrated the Prophet (ﷺ) said: “There are seven whom Allah will shade in His Shade on the Day when there is no shade except His Shade: a just ruler; a youth who grew up in the worship of Allah, the Mighty and Majestic; a man whose heart is attached to the mosques; two men who love each other for Allah's sake, meeting for that and parting upon that a man who is called by a woman of beauty and position [for illegal intercourse], but be says: 'I fear Allah', a man who gives in charity and hides it, such that his left hand does not know what his right hand gives in charity; and a man who remembered Allah in private and so his eyes shed tears.' [al-Bukhari (660) and Muslim (1031)]
1. A just ruler
2. A youth who grew up in the deen and did not go into jahiliyiah
Al-Baqarah 2|264|O you who have believed, do not invalidate your charities with reminders or injury as does one who spends his wealth [only] to be seen by the people and does not believe in Allah and the Last Day. His example is like that of a [large] smooth stone upon which is dust and is hit by a downpour that leaves it bare. They are unable [to keep] anything of what they have earned. And Allah does not guide the disbelieving people.
3. A man who which a
pretty woman asked to sleep with, but he refused because he feared ALLAH
-a pretty woman because it’s much tougher to resist a pretty woman, more noble
4. A person who locks himself up in his room and does Dhikr until he cries
Abu Huraira (RA) reported that Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said, “The world, with all that it contains, is accursed except for dhikr (the remembrance of Allah) that which pleases Allah; and the religious scholars and seekers of knowledge.'' [Sunan Tirmidhi (4/561) 2322 and Sunan Ibn Majah (5/231) 4112, (Abu Eesa al-Tirmidhi said: this hadeeth is hasan ghareeb)]
5. A person whose heart is connected to the masjid
6. A person whenever he or she gives charity
with the right hand, the left hand doesn’t know about it
-he conceals
the deed
-they did not follow up their gifts with reminders and injury
7. Two people who love each other for the sake of ALLAH that met each other in the dunya for that purpose
-Two eyes
which the hellfire can never burn: the eyes that watch the borders of the
Islamic state
-the eyes that cry for the fear of ALLAH
Ibn Abbas (RA) reported that he heard Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) say, ‘(There are) two eyes that the Fire will never touch, the eye that wept from fear of Allah and the eye that stood guard in the night in Allah’s path.” [Sunan Tirmidhi (4/175) No. 1639 and Shu'ab al-Eman al-Bayhaqi (3/227) No. 1639]
6. To deny Qadr (Qadariyya)
-when Ibn
Abass was alive, some people complained to him saying
-'there are some Muslims who don’t believe in Qadr'
It is narrated on the authority of Yahya b. Ya'mur that the first man who discussed about Qadr (Divine Decree) in Basra was Ma'bad al-Juhani. At last he sat with the Apostle (peace be upon him) He knelt before him placed his palms on his thighs and said: Muhammad, inform me about al-Islam. The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: Al-Islam implies that you testify that there is no god but Allah and that Muhammad is the messenger of Allah, and you establish prayer, pay Zakat, observe the fast of Ramadan, and perform pilgrimage to the (House) if you are solvent enough (to bear the expense of) the journey. He (the inquirer) said: You have told the truth. He (Umar ibn al-Khattab) said: It amazed us that he would put the question and then he would himself verify the truth. He (the inquirer) said: Inform me about Iman (faith). He (the Holy Prophet) replied: That you affirm your faith in Allah, in His angels, in His Books, in His Apostles, in the Day of Judgment, and you affirm your faith in the Divine Decree about good and evil. He (the inquirer) said: You have told the truth. He (the inquirer) again said: Inform me about al-Ihsan (performance of good deeds). He (the Holy Prophet) said: That you worship Allah as if you are seeing Him, for though you don't see Him, [Muslim: (1/2) Hadith 6) & Musnad Ahmad Vol: 1 Hadith 367) & Bukhari: (1/2) Hadith 50, Sahih Al Bukhari: (1/2) Hadith 48] & Tirmdhi: (5/38) Hadith 2610 & Book 40 Hadith 5) & Sunan Ibn Majah (67) & (1/1) Hadith 64)]
Qadr - predestination by ALLAH
Ibn Abass said 'take me to
them so I can cut out their eyes and so I can cut off their nose:
-do not bury them with the Muslims because they deny Qadr'
7. To keep missing your Asr Salah
-if you’re
at work, its better you join your prayers than to miss it
-the Hanafis do not allow this, but the Hanbalis do
The importance of Asr prayer
Al-Baqarah 2|238|Maintain with care the [obligatory] prayers and [in particular] the middle prayer and stand before Allah, devoutly obedient.
Guard strictly (five obligatory) As Salawat (the prayers) especially the middle Salat (i.e. the best prayer 'Asr). And stand before Allah with obedience [and do not speak to others during the Salat (prayers)]. (Al-Baqarah 2:238)
The Rasul (ﷺ) said 'that is the salah of the munafiqh (three times)” and
-‘The munafiqh
denies his Asr until it is almost Maghrib time"
-those who don't allow Muslims to join their prayers, they are making a
burden on them
-Allah tala never meant for the deen to be a burden
-the Hanbalis allow the joining of the prayers when you are bus or a traveller
We have not sent down the Qur'an unto you (O Muhammad SAW) to cause you distress, (Ta-Ha 20:2)
-if you're in a car and it's raining, you can pray (even in a plane,
train Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَىٰ wants ease for us)
-the Rasool (ﷺ) prayed on top of his horse (there was mud on the
ground)
-they try to say his salah was Sunnah (they say it to be the deen a burden on us).
He must observe Saum (fasts) that month, and whoever is ill or on a journey, the same number [of days which one did not observe Saum (fasts) must be made up] from other days. Allah intends for you ease, and He does not want to make things difficult for you. (Al-Baqarah 2:185)
-there is NO evidence for what they are saying: see Al Baqarah 115
-wherever you turn your face, you will find the face of your Lord
-so, if traveling and you can't turn east, it's ok: YOUR INTENTION IS ACCEPTED
And to Allah belong the east and the west, so wherever you turn yourselves or your faces there is the Face of Allah (and He is High above, over His Throne). Surely! Allah is All-Sufficient for His creatures' needs, All-Knowing. (Al-Baqarah 2:115)
-Hanbali fiqh is the most accurate
-so you have no excuse NOT to pray because Allah سُبْحَانَهُ
وَتَعَالَىٰ didn't make it a burden for us
-if you visit another country, you join your prayers for the whole month you're gone travel: TWO Sunnah before Fajr and Witr
Ibn Abbaas said: “Are you trying to teach me the deen?” then he
postponed Maghrib till Isha (he combined)
--if he did combine, so can we!
--we can pray salah before the dars
SAHIH MUSLIM, Book 8, Number 1515: Ibn 'Abbas reported: The Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) observed the noon and afternoon prayers together, and the sunset and Isha' prayers together without being in a state of fear or in a state of journey
-Hanafis do not believe in joining so they make the deen a burden on us
-but Ibn Hanbal knew to make it easy for us not to miss our salah
-Umar allowed a man to join prayers when the man was busy baking bread
-same for woman entertaining guests
-heart surgeon, for example is permitted to join his prayers (or per Ibn Hanbal, to pray early)
'Abdullah b. Shaqiq reported: 'Ibn 'Abbas one day addressed us in the afternoon (after the afternoon prayer) till the sun disappeared and the stars appeared, and the people began to say: "Prayer, prayer." A person from Banu Tamim came there. He neither slackened nor turned away, but (continued crying): "Prayer, prayer." Ibn 'Abbas said: "May you be deprived of your mother, do you teach me Sunnah?" And then he said: "I saw the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) combining the noon and afternoon prayers and the sunset and 'Isha prayers."' 'Abdullah b. Shaqiq said: 'Some doubt was created in my mind about it. So I came to Abu Huraira and asked him (about it) and he testified his assertion.' [Sahih Muslim (1/491) No. 705]
-Hanafi might tell you to stop the operation ... that is not making the
deen easy
--Ibn Abbaas ... said, "May you be deprived of your
mother"
--Maghrib time and he was ignored by Ibn Abbaas - we combined prayers in the time of the Rasool (ﷺ)
Allah intends for you ease and does not intend for you hardship and [wants] for you to complete the period and to glorify Allah for that [to] which He has guided you; and perhaps you will be grateful. [Al-Baqarah 2|185]
If ALLAH is telling you in 2:185 that, then why do you make the deen a burden on yourselves?
8. To entertain bad ideas about ALLAH (سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَىٰ)
-you’re not allowed to entertain bad ideas about ALLAH (سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَىٰ) because it nullifies your pious deeds
Hadith: "A man said 'ALLAH will never forgive so and so" - ALLAH said 'Who are you to assume I wont forgive such a person? I've already forgiven him for his sins, and as for you IVE nullified all of your pious deeds for you statement” Sahih Muslim, Book 32, #6350
-this is proof that to entertain bad ideas about ALLAH nullifies your deeds
9. To raise your voice above the voice of the Prophet ﷺ
31 Hadith Qudsi
Al-Hujurat 49|2|O you who have believed, do not raise your voices above the voice of the Prophet or be loud to him in speech like the loudness of some of you to others, lest your deeds become worthless while you perceive not.
HADITH QUDSI 31
On the authority of Jundub (RA), who said that the
Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) related: "A man said: 'By Allah, Allah will not forgive
So-and-so.' At this Allah the Almighty said: 'Who is he who swears by Me that I
will not forgive So-and-so? Verily I have forgiven So-and-so and have nullified
your [own good] deeds (1) (or as he said [it]).'" (1) A similar Hadith,
which is given by Abu Dawud, indicates that the person referred to was a godly
man whose previous good deeds were brought to naught through presuming to
declare that Allah would not forgive someone's bad deeds. [Muslim]
Narrated Jundab: The Messenger of Allah said: “A man said: By Allah! Allah will not forgive so-and-so! So Allah Almighty said: Who is he who swore by Me that I will not forgive so-and-so? I have forgiven him and nullified your good deeds.” [Sahih Muslim, Book 32, #6350]
-if you
come to the masjid wearing a gold ring, and someone told you that the Rasul
said it is haraam and you say "but what if...” (if you dispute),
-this is
raising your voice above the voice of the Rasool ﷺ
-when the Rasul gives you Hukum, you’re not allowed to argue with it
An-Nisa 4|65|But no, by your Lord, they will not [truly] believe until they make you, [O Muhammad], judge concerning that over which they dispute among themselves and then find within themselves no discomfort from what you have judged and submit in [full, willing] submission.
-If you were
a true believer and someone told you that Gold is haram, you would never say
'but, if, what if, etc.
-It is not right to have your own opinion when the matter is already decided
Ibn Abbas (RA) reported that he heard Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) say, ‘(There are) two eyes that the Fire will never touch, the eye that wept from fear of Allah and the eye that stood guard in the night in Allah’s path.” [Sunan Tirmidhi (4/175) No. 1639 and Shu'ab al-Eman al-Bayhaqi (3/227) No. 1639]
Suhaib reported that Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said: Strange are the ways of a believer for there is good in every affair of his and this is not the case with anyone else except in the case of a believer for if he has an occasion to feel delight, he thanks (God), thus there is a good for him in it, and if he gets into trouble and shows resignation (and endures it patiently), there is a good for him in it. [Muslim 2999 and Book 55, Hadith 82]
Al-Ahzab 33|36|It is not for a believing man or a believing woman, when Allah and His Messenger have decided a matter, that they should [thereafter] have any choice about their affair. And whoever disobeys Allah and His Messenger has certainly strayed into clear error.
It is not for a believer, man or woman, when Allâh and His Messenger have decreed a matter that they should have any option in their decision. And whoever disobeys Allâh and His Messenger, he has indeed strayed into a plain error. (Al-Ahzab 33:36)
In the time of the Rasul
PBUH, a man went to the prophet PBUH for a verdict
--the same
was not satisfied and went to Abu Bakr
--Abu Bakr
said 'did you ask the Prophet?' The man said, ‘yes’
--Abu Bakr
drove him away
--then the
man went to Umar and asked him for his verdict
--Umar
replied 'did you ask the Prophet?' the man said 'yes but I want your opinion'
--Umar came
back and chopped off his head: THAT was
his opinion
--no one disputed the action of Umar (ra) at this incident, ALLAH revealed
An-Nisa 4|66|And if We had decreed upon them, "Kill yourselves" or "Leave your homes," they would not have done it, except for a few of them. But if they had done what they were instructed, it would have been better for them and a firmer position [for them in faith].
10. Bid'ah
-Bid'ah
(cursed innovations)
-Bid'ah
nullifies your pious deeds
-if you were sincere, you will use SUNNAH to fight Bid'ah
-some people
do the opposite, they use bid'ah to fight Sunnah
-an example
of bid'ah: the Shia athan
-another example of bid'ah: to recite the Qur'an over dead bodies (in the indo-pak community they do this )
-another
example of bid'ah: to wear the Qur'an around your neck for protection
-another
example: khatam (celebrating death anniversary)
-If you want to be protected by the Qur'an, you have to recite the Qur'an, not wear it
The Rasul ﷺ said 'He who introduces a new thing into
this matter of ours, it will be rejected'
-The Rasul ﷺ said ' Those of you who will live long
will encounter many newly invented matters'
Jareer ibn Abdullah narrated: "Some people from the Bedouin came to the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: 'Whoever starts a good thing in Islam, and others do likewise after him, there will be written for him a reward like that of those who followed him, without it detracting in the least from their reward. Whoever starts a bad thing in Islam, and others do likewise after him, there will be written for him a burden of sin like that of those who followed him, without it detracting in the least from their burden.'" [Sahih Muslim (4/2059) No. 1017]
ALLAH asks the people of bid'ah a very important question in Surah 49:16
Say: "Will you inform Allah about your religion? While Allah knows all that is in the heavens and all that is in the earth, and Allah is All-Aware of everything. (Al-Hujurat 49:16)
11. To do haraam in secret
-some people
will come with good deeds like a mountain but they will be like scattered dust:
-these are the people who do haraam in secret (found in Hadith)
12. To take pleasure in seeing the killing of the
believers
-to cheer for the kuffar during jihad, to cheer for the crusaders: THIS nullifies your pious deeds
-it proves
your allegiance is to the kuffar, you are not the true believers
O you who believe! Take not the Jews and the Christians as Auliya' (friends, protectors, helpers, etc.), they are but Auliya' to one another. And if any amongst you takes them as Auliya', then surely he is one of them. Verily, Allah guides not those people who are the Zalimun (polytheists and wrong-doers and unjust). 5:51
-if your allegiance is to the kuffar, ALL your pious deeds are nullified.
7 CONDITIONS OF SHAHADAH:
1. Knowledge of
the Shahadah
2. Yaqeen --
You cannot doubt your Shahadah
3. Believe in
your heart and testify w/ your tongue [Abu Taalib’s plight]
4. Surrender to
Qur’an and Sunnah
5. Tasfiq
[condemns all shades of falsehood]
6. Singularity
of devotion
7. Al walaa wal baraa [loving and hating for the sake of Allah swt]
And it has already been revealed to you in the Book (this Qur'an) that when you hear the Verses of Allah being denied and mocked at, then sit not with them, until they engage in a talk other than that; (but if you stayed with them) certainly in that case you would be like them. Surely, Allah will collect the hypocrites and disbelievers all together in Hell, (An-Nisa 4:140)
13. To spy for the kuffar
And never (O Muhammad ﷺ) pray (funeral prayer) for any of them (hypocrites) who dies, nor stand at his grave. Certainly they disbelieved in Allah and His Messenger, and died while they were Fasiqun (rebellious, - disobedient to Allah and His Messenger ﷺ). (At-Tawbah 9:84)
HADITH OF TAKING OFF THE WOMAN’S CLOTHES: Bukhari Volume 4, Book 52, Number 314:
Narrated By 'Ali: Allah's Apostle sent me, Az-Zubair and Al-Miqdad saying, "Proceed till you reach Rawdat Khakh where there is a lady carrying a letter, and take that (letter) from her." So we proceeded on our way with our horses galloping till we reached the Rawda, and there we found the lady and said to her, "Take out the letter." She said, "I have no letter." We said, "Take out the letter, or else we will take off your clothes." So she took it out of her braid, and we brought the letter to Allah's Apostle. The letter was addressed from Hatib, bin Abi Balta'a to some pagans of Mecca, telling them about what Allah's Apostle intended to do. Allah's Apostle said, "O Hatib! What is this?" Hatib replied, "O Allah's Apostle! Do not make a hasty decision about me. I was a person not belonging to Quraish but I was an ally to them from outside and had no blood relation with them, and all the Emigrants who were with you, have got their kinsmen (in Mecca) who can protect their families and properties. So I liked to do them a favor so that they might protect my relatives as I have no blood relation with them. I did not do this to renegade from my religion (i.e. Islam) nor did I do it to choose Heathenism after Islam." Allah's Apostle said to his companions." As regards him, he (i.e. Hatib) has told you the truth." 'Umar said, "O Allah's Apostle! Allow me to chop off the head of this hypocrite!" The Prophet said, "He (i.e. Hatib) has witnessed the Badr battle (i.e. fought in it) and what could tell you, perhaps Allah looked at those who witnessed Badr and said, "O the people of Badr (i.e. Badr Muslim warriors), do what you like, for I have forgiven you. "Then Allah revealed the Sura:
"O you who believe! Take not my enemies And your enemies as friends offering them (Your) love even though they have disbelieved in that Truth (i.e. Allah, Prophet Muhammad and this Quran) which has come to you... (to the end of Verse)... (And whosoever of you (Muslims) does that, then indeed he has gone (far) astray (away) from the Straight Path." (60.1) [Sahih Bukhari, Vol 5, Book 59, Hadith #572]
Imaam Ibn Taymiya stated in ‘Majmoo’ il Fataawa’ Vol 3, 283-284: “If a Muslim is incorrect in his understanding about killing (a Muslim) or making takfir, then he does not become a disbeliever because of that, this is like when Umar Ibn al Khattaab said about Haatib ibn Abi Balta’, “O Rasoolullaah! Allow me to behead this hypocrite!” Rasoolullaah replied, “Indeed, he is one who witnessed Badr. And you do not know if Allaah has looked towards the people of Badr and said to them ” Do as you like, for you have been forgiven. “ And this [hadeeth] in found in the two Saheeh collections. [al-Bukhari (3007) and Muslim (2494)]
When Umar
wanted to chop off the head of the spy, the Prophet (ﷺ) did not dispute this
-but the
Prophet forgave the spy because he participated in jihad (Battle of Badr)
-all Sahabahs, (who fought this battle) will be in Paradise
Narrated By 'Ubaidullah bin Abi Rafi: I heard 'Ali saying, "...Allah's Apostle, said, "Hatib has told you the truth." Umar said, O Allah's Apostle! Allow me to chop off the head of this hypocrite." Allah's Apostle said, "Hatib participated in the battle of Badr, and who knows, perhaps Allah has already looked at the Badr warriors and said, 'Do whatever you like, for I have forgiven you." [al-Bukhari (3007) and Muslim (2494)]
The MI5 found many, many Deobandi
Muslims very willing to spy on Muslims in Blackburn
-this shows that the Deobandi are in bed with the taghoot
Those Muslims think it’s
just another job to spy on Muslims
-this is because in the Tablighi Jammat, they don’t teach kufr but taghoot
The MI5 were so swamped
with so many Muslims willing to spy:
-they had to turn some of them down!
PROPHET'S DUA AT BATTLE OF BADR:
"Oh ALLAH if you cause this small batch of Muslims to be destroyed, no one on this earth will be left on this earth to worship you"
Abu Jahl made a dua to
ALLAH at the Battle of Badr, as well (not to his pagan gods):
-if I was good to my family, please give me victory
To believe in ALLAH is
nothing special, what makes it special is to REJECT the taghoot.
Taghoot: icon for a false religion (example: Mother Teresa, ex); the kaafir army, capitalism, democracy, etc
Al-Baqarah 2|256|There shall be no compulsion in [acceptance of] the religion. The right course has become clear from the wrong. So whoever disbelieves in Taghut and believes in Allah has grasped the most trustworthy handhold with no break in it. And Allah is Hearing and Knowing
DEMOCRACY = “demons have gone crazy”
An-Nisa 4|76|Those who believe fight in the cause of Allah, and those who disbelieve fight in the cause of Taghut. So fight against the allies of Satan. Indeed, the plot of Satan has ever been weak.
-Those of
you who joined the French, British, American army: you have become KUFFAR
-If you
fight underneath their banner, you’re a kaafir
-You can
only fight under the banner of Islam
