The last time we were here we stopped at ayah 6 of Surah Al-Hujurat.
AYAH 6:
يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا إِن جَاءَكُمْ فَاسِقٌ بِنَبَإٍ فَتَبَيَّنُوا أَن تُصِيبُوا قَوْمًا بِجَهَالَةٍ فَتُصْبِحُوا عَلَىٰ مَا فَعَلْتُمْ نَادِمِينَ ﴿٦﴾
O you who believe! If a rebellious evil person comes to you with news, verify it, lest you harm people in ignorance, and afterwards you become regretful to what you have done. (Al-Hujurat 49:6)
- Surah Al-Hujurat was revealed to
help uproot EVIL from the Ummah.
- Ayah 6 is so important we could
write a book about its lessons
- Surah Hujurat was revealed to teach us good character and morals, good upbringing and good orientation.
- The scholars call Surah Al-Hujurat
Surah Al Akhlaaq.
- We are living in a wicked world in
the last age where people are reckless with their tongues and private parts.
- The Kuffar will use their tongues to spread false news and give the impression that they are the ones following the commands of this Ayah.
- The fact is the Kuffar have a very
bad reputation with regards to verifying news.
- The Kuffar have been guilty time and again of committing grievous crimes against humanity. They fire the bullets first and ask the questions later.

their own land to use it as a reason to invade Muslims lands to kill the people
and steal our oil.

- However, the forensic specialists disagreed that Dr. Kelley killed himself because there was no blood pooled around him when they found his dead body.

Had We willed, We could have shown them to you, and you should have known them by their marks, but surely, you will know them by the tone of their speech! And Allah knows all your deeds. (Muhammad 47:30)
- These people end up cheering for
the crusaders. They support the Kuffar army and slander the Mujahideen.
- Since Allah commanded us to verify the news of the Faasiq, it is incumbent on us to verify the news of the Kaafir even more.
CAUSES OF REVELATION:
It has been narrated from the Prophet ﷺ) that 'He sent Waleed ibn 'Uqbah to Bani Mustalaq to collect the zakat. When they saw him they proceeded in his direction. He became afraid so he returned to the Prophet and informed him that they had apostated from Islam. The Prophet sent Khalid ibn Waleed and ordered him to confirm this and not to delay. Khaalid set out and he came to them at night. He dispatched his scouts and when they came (back) they informed Khalid that they (people of Bani Mustalaq) were holding fast to their Islam and they heard their adhan and their salah. So when Khalid came to them he saw that what they (the scouts) mentioned to him was correct, so he returned to the Prophet and informed him; then this ayah was revealed. In one narration the Prophet said "Hastiness is from Shaytan and deliberation (carefulness) is from Allah."[Tafseer at-Tabari (22/288)]
- Ayah 6 of Surah of Al-Hujurat was revealed because of the above-mentioned Hadith in order to uphold justice.
Narrated By 'Ubaid-ullah bin 'Adi bin Al-Khiyar: Al-Miswar bin Makhrama and 'Abdur-Rahman bin Al-Aswad bin 'Abu Yaghuth said (to me), "What forbids you to talk to 'Uthman about his brother Al-Walid because people have talked much about him?" So I went to 'Uthman and when he went out for prayer I said (to him), "I have something to say to you, and it is a piece of advice for you"
'Uthman said, "O man, from you." (Umar said: I see that he said, "I seek Refuge with Allah from you.") So I left him and went to them. Then the messenger of Uthman came and I went to him (i.e. 'Uthman), 'Uthman asked, "What is your advice?" I replied, "Allah sent Muhammad with the Truth, and revealed the Divine Book (i.e. Quran) to him; and you were amongst those who followed Allah and His Apostle, and you participated in the two migrations (to Ethiopia and to Medina) and enjoyed the company of Allah's Apostle and saw his way.
No doubt, the people are talking much
about Al-Walid." 'Uthman said, "Did you receive your knowledge
directly from Allah's Apostle?" I said, "No, but his knowledge did
reach me and it reached (even) to a virgin in her seclusion." 'Uthman
said, "And then Allah sent Muhammad with the Truth and I was amongst those
who followed Allah and His Apostle and I believed in whatever he (i.e. the
Prophet) was sent with, and participated in two migrations, as you have said,
and I enjoyed the company of Allah's Apostle and gave the pledge of allegiance
him. By Allah! I never disobeyed him, nor did I cheat him till Allah took him
unto Him.
Then I treated Abu Bakr and then 'Umar similarly and then I was made Caliph. So, don't I have rights similar to theirs?" I said, "Yes." He said, "Then what are these talks reaching me from you people? Now, concerning what you mentioned about the question of Al-Walid, Allah willing, I shall deal with him according to what is right." Then he called 'Ali and ordered him to flog him, and 'Ali flogged him (i.e. Al-Walid) eighty lashes. [Sahih Bukhari, Vol 5, Book 57, Hadith 045]
- Waleed Ibn Uqbah was the son of the man who tied a cloth around the Prophet (ﷺ) to seize him so that they could kill him, when Abu Bakr intervened and cut their plot.
Hudain b. al-Mundhir Abu Sasan reported: I saw that Walid was brought to Uthmin b. 'Affan as he had prayed two rak'ahs of the dawn prayer, and then he said: I make an increase for you. And two men bore witness against him. One of them was Humran who said that he had drunk wine. The second one gave witness that he had seen him vomiting. Uthman said: He would not have vomited (wine) unless he had drunk it.
He said: 'Ali, stand up and lash him. 'Ali said: Hasan, stand up and lash him. Thereupon Hasan said: Let him suffer the heat (of Caliphate) who has enjoyed its coolness. ('Ali felt annoyed at this remark) and he said: 'Abdullah b. Ja'far, stand up and flog him, and he began to flog him and 'Ali counted the stripes until these were forty.
He (Hadrat 'Ali) said: Stop now and then said: Allah's Messenger (سبحانه وتعالىٰ) gave forty stripes, and Abu Bakr also gave forty stripes, and Umar gave eighty stripes, and all these falls under the category of the Sunnah, but this one (forty stripes) is dearer to me. [Sahih Muslim (3/1331) No. 1707]
- Waleed Ibn Uqbah was an alcoholic and he once led Fajr Salah while he was drunk
Ubayd-Allah ibn ‘Adiyy ibn Khiyar that he entered upon ‘Uthman ibn ‘Affan (RA) when he was under siege and said: “You are the imam of the people and there has befallen you what we see, and now the imam of fitnah leads us in prayer, and we are afraid of committing sin.” He said: “Prayer is the best deed that people can do. If the people do good then do good with them, but if they do evil, then avoid their evil. [Sahih Bukhari (1/141) No. 695]
- If you go to pray your Salah in the Masjid and are led by a man who is a Faasiq, your Salah is still valid whereas the Faasiq’s salah is Baatil
Abu Hurairah narrated the Prophet (ﷺ) said: Striving in the path of Allah (jihad) is incumbent on you along with every ruler, whether he is pious or impious; the prayer is obligatory on you behind every believer, pious or impious, even if he commits grave sins; the (funeral) prayer is incumbent upon every Muslim, pious and impious, even if he commits major sins. [Sunan Abu Dawud (3/18) No. 2533] (Daeef)
- According to Imam Shafi'i the Faasiq is not allowed to give away his
daughter in marriage.
- According to Imam Abu Hanifa and Imam Malik, a Faasiq is still allowed
to give his daughter away in marriage.
- The correct opinion is that of Imam Hanifa and Imam Malik.
- If you tell a man you cannot be the Wali of your daughter, you are going to cause bloodshed.
Narrated Abu Huraira: We were in the company of Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) in a Ghazwa, and he remarked about a man who claimed to be a Muslim, saying, "This (man) is from the people of the (Hell) Fire." When the battle started, the man fought violently till he got wounded. Somebody said, "O Allah's Messenger (ﷺ)! The man whom you described as being from the people of the (Hell) Fire fought violently today and died." The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "He will go to the (Hell) Fire." Some people were on the point of doubting (the truth of what the Prophet had said) while they were in this state, suddenly someone said that he was still alive but severely wounded. When night fell, he lost patience and committed suicide. The Prophet (ﷺ) was informed of that, and he said, "Allah is Greater! I testify that I am Allah's Slave and His Messenger." Then he ordered Bilal to announce amongst the people: 'None will enter Paradise but a Muslim, and Allah may support this religion (i.e. Islam) even with a disobedient man.' [Al-Bukhari (3062) and Muslim (111)]
- The Prophet (ﷺ) said in famous hadith that maybe ALLAH (سبحانه وتعالىٰ) will use a Faasiq to help ISLAM.
- Even when a person is a Faasiq, it is possible that he has some good in him and Allah will use him to benefit Islam with that good.
IS A LIAR A KAAFIR?
- Walid Ibn Uqbah lied about the people refusing to pay their Zakat.
- The Khawaarij used to believe that a liar is a Kaafir.
- Because of this Bukhari used to collect Hadith from the Khawaarij because they would not lie about the Hadith.
- The Khawaarij used to believe that a liar is a Kaafir.
- If a Muslims should lie on another Muslim, he is not a Kaafir, he is a
Faasiq.
- However, if a Muslim lie's on ALLAH or the PROPHET (ﷺ), then he becomes a KAAFIR
Narrated By Anas: The fact which stops me from narrating a great number of Hadiths to you is that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: "Whoever tells a lie against me intentionally, then (surely) let him occupy his seat in Hellfire." [Sahih Bukhari, Vol 1, Book 3, Hadith #108]
The one who claims that the Prophet (ﷺ) said or did something he the Holy Prophet
did not, and makes his own religion, becomes a KAAFIR.
- If a Muslims should lie on another Muslim, he is not a Kaafir, he is a Faasiq.
Telling lies about the Prophet (ﷺ) is a great evil and a serious sin, because the Prophet (ﷺ) said: “Telling lies about me is not like telling lies about anyone else. Whoever tells lies about me deliberately, let him take his place in Hell.” Narrated by al-Bukhaari, 1229. It was also narrated by Muslim in the Introduction to his Saheeh, without the phrase “Telling lies about me is not like telling lies about anyone else.” And the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “Do not tell lies about me, for whoever tells lies about me will enter Hell.” Narrated by al-Bukhaari, 106. And he (ﷺ) said: “Whoever narrates a hadeeth from me that he thinks is false is one of the liars.” [Narrated by Muslim (1)]
A number of scholars are of the view that the one who deliberately tells lies about the Prophet (ﷺ) is a kaafir.
Al-Haafiz ibn Hajar said in al-Fath: If it is said that lying is a sin except in cases where one is trying to bring about reconciliation and the like, and that Hell is threatened for those who sin, what is there to distinguish the one who tells lies about the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) from those who tell lies about anyone else?
He answered this from two angles:
1 – That according to one scholar, Shaykh Abu Muhammad al-Juwayni, the one who tells lies about him deliberately is a kaafir. But this view was classed as da’eef (weak) by his son Imam al-Haramayn and those who came after him. Ibn al-Muneer, however, favoured this view, based on the idea that the one who tells lies about him by describing forbidden things as permissible,
for example, either regards that forbidden thing as permissible or misleads others by making them believe that. Regarding forbidden things as permissible is kufr and leading others to kufr is also kufr. But this view is subject to further examination. The majority of scholars are of the view that this does not constitute kufr unless one believes that this forbidden thing is permissible.
- To lie on the Prophet (ﷺ) is not like lying on the ordinary people. When you lie on Muhammad (ﷺ), you lie on ALLAH (سبحانه وتعالىٰ).
AYAH 7:
وَاعْلَمُوا أَنَّ فِيكُمْ رَسُولَ اللَّـهِ ۚ لَوْ يُطِيعُكُمْ فِي كَثِيرٍ مِّنَ الْأَمْرِ لَعَنِتُّمْ وَلَـٰكِنَّ اللَّـهَ حَبَّبَ إِلَيْكُمُ الْإِيمَانَ وَزَيَّنَهُ فِي قُلُوبِكُمْ وَكَرَّهَ إِلَيْكُمُ الْكُفْرَ وَالْفُسُوقَ وَالْعِصْيَانَ ۚ أُولَـٰئِكَ هُمُ الرَّاشِدُونَ ﴿٧﴾
And know that, among you there is the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ). If he were to obey you (i.e. follow your opinions and desires) in much of the matter, you would surely be in trouble, but Allah has endeared the Faith to you and has beautified it in your hearts, and has made disbelief, wickedness and disobedience (to Allah and His Messenger ﷺ) hateful to you. These! They are the rightly guided ones, (Al-Hujurat 49:7)
- ALLAH (سبحانه وتعالىٰ) is reminding us that human beings will always have differences of opinions.
- Occasionally the Sahabas had differences of opinions with the Prophet (ﷺ).
- For example, the treaty of Hudaibiyyah.
- The Prophet (ﷺ) was very wise, and he was right to sign the treaty.
- Allah (سبحانه وتعالىٰ) then revealed the Ayah they HE has given the PROPHET (ﷺ) a CLEAR VICTORY. The victory was the treaty of Hudaibiyyah itself.
Verily, We have given you (O Muhammad ) a manifest victory. (Al-Fath 48:1)
- Another example is when Umar (r.a) wanted to chop off the head of Hatib and the Prophet (ﷺ) disagreed because Hatib participated in the Battle of Badr.
Narrated By 'Ubaidullah bin Abi Rafi: I heard 'Ali saying, "...Allah's Messenger (ﷺ), said, "Hatib has told you the truth." Umar said, O Allah's Messenger! Allow me to chop off the head of this hypocrite." Allah's Messenger said, "Hatib participated in the battle of Badr, and who knows, perhaps Allah has already looked at the Badr warriors and said, 'Do whatever you like, for I have forgiven you..." [Al-Bukhari (3007) and Muslim (2494)]
- Hatib sent the letter not because he doubted his faith, but because he wanted to ingratiate himself with the Quraish, in order to protect his family.
- ALLAH (سبحانه وتعالىٰ) reminded us that when the EMAAN is beautified in our hearts, our character becomes beautiful
There is a lump of flesh in the body, the nature of which is that when it is sound, the entire body is sound, and when it is corrupt, the entire body is corrupt - it is the heart.'" [Al-Bukhari (52) and Muslim (1599)]
- ALLAH (سبحانه وتعالىٰ) has caused the believer to hate KUFR, and DISOBEDIENCE TO ALLAH and HIS COMMANDS.
- If you love SHARIA & KHILAFAH and hate democracy and wickedness you are rightly guided.
- Anyone who fights to make the WORD OF ALLAH THE HIGHEST is the one who is rightly guided. So, what are you going to JIHAD for?
- Anyone who supports democracy or any other law other than Allah's law is misguided and will face the Wrath of Allah (سبحانه وتعالىٰ)
- ALLAH (سبحانه وتعالىٰ) causes the believer to LOVE THE DEEN and beautifies the person’s character by beautifying his HEART with EMAAN.
- There is only one solution for the CRISIS the UMMAH is drowning in. THAT SOLUTION IS THE BULLET. THAT SOLUTION IS JIHAD
Uqbah bin Amir (RA) narrated: 'I heard the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) and he was on the Minbar when he read the verse: "(And make ready against them all you can of power, including steeds of war...) [8:60], Verily strength is in throwing (i.e. shooting), verily strength is in throwing, verily strength is in throwing.”

Abu Huraira (RA) narrated the Prophet (ﷺ) said: "A believer is not bitten from the same hole twice.” [Related by al-Bukhari (6133) and Muslim (2998)]
- Those who love Kufr, Shirk and Zandaqa and who fight to make the Taghoot superior made sure Morsi and his government fail in order to claim that ISLAM has failed.
AYAH 8:
فَضْلًا مِّنَ
اللَّـهِ وَنِعْمَةً ۚ وَاللَّـهُ عَلِيمٌ حَكِيمٌ ﴿٨﴾
(This is) a Grace from Allah and His Favour. And Allah is All-Knowing,
All-Wise.
(Al-Hujurat 49:8)
- Only ALLAH (سبحانه وتعالىٰ) can change the HEARTS.
Verily! You (O Muhammad ﷺ) guide not whom you like, but Allah guides whom He wills. And He knows best those who are the guided. (Al-Qasas 28:56)
- Only Allah can guide a person to ISLAM.
- Only ALLAH (سبحانه وتعالىٰ) can put love in your heart for the DEEN.
- When people love ISLAM and hate kufr, it is a blessing from ALLAH سبحانه وتعالىٰ
- We must always pray to ALLAH (سبحانه وتعالىٰ) and beg him to make us love HIS DEEN.
- We must make the DUA in SURAH AALI IMRAN VERSE 8
(They say): "Our Lord! Let not our hearts deviate (from the truth) after You have guided us, and grant us mercy from You. Truly, You are the Bestower." (Aali Imran 3:8)
- ONLY ALLAH can make us love the DEEN, and only ALLAH can make you DIE
ON THE DEEN.
