TAFSIR SURAH
MUDDATHIR:
THE SEVEN (7) GATES OF HELLFIRE
DARS THREE
NOVEMBER 24, 2013 / 21 Muharram 1435 Hijri
He took the path of assassinating the character of the Prophet (ﷺ)
When people don't like what you say they go on the path of character assassination, even Fox News (spews) did this to Imam Anwar (RA)
The Makkans gathered and decided on what they will slander the rasul (ﷺ) and so they decided to say that he was a magician
Al Waleed died like a dog in the battle of Badr and was killed and so were Abu Jahl, Utbah, and Umayyad too.
Al waleed will be in hell fire for forever; Allah سبحانه وتعالىٰ said in surah 74:26 that He will dump him in SAQAR
AYAH 26
سَأُصْلِيهِ سَقَرَ
I will cast him into Hell-fire (Al-Muddaththir 74:26)
The rasul (ﷺ) told his sahaba to target the leaders of Quraish, this was in accordance with Allah's commandment in Surah; At Tawbah 12
But if they violate their oaths after their covenant and attack your religion with disapproval and criticism then fight (you) the leaders of disbelief (chiefs of Quraish - pagans of Makkah) - for surely their oaths are nothing to them - so that they may stop (evil actions). (At-Tawbah 9:12)
Because once you take out the leaders the rest will be like headless chickens; you should get rid of the think tanks of kufr.
Al Waleed ibn Mugheera had the same problem as iblis (Satan)
He wanted to tell Allah (سبحانه وتعالىٰ) whom to bless, because Allah (سبحانه وتعالىٰ) preferred Adam (AS) over him.
And said to Allah (سبحانه وتعالىٰ) that because He preferred Adam over him
That he will mislead all his progeny and that he won't bow down
to someone
who Allah (سبحانه وتعالىٰ) created from black mud altered
He was not intellectually convinced about Allah's choice
He said, "Never would I prostrate to a human whom You created out of clay from an altered black mud." (Al-Hijr 15:33) Sahih International
He (iblis) wants to tell Allah (سبحانه وتعالىٰ) whom to bless over other people who act like this are the Jews
They couldn't handle the fact that Allah (سبحانه وتعالىٰ) made the last and best prophet to be from the lineage of Arabs and not the lineage of Ishaq.
They also want to tell Allah (سبحانه وتعالىٰ) whom to bless; but Allah (سبحانه وتعالىٰ) chose Muhammad (ﷺ) to be prophets from the Arabs
Allah (سبحانه وتعالىٰ) said in the Quran Surah Al Baqarah verse 129
"Our Lord! Send amongst them a Messenger of their own (and indeed Allah answered their invocation by sending Muhammad Peace be upon him), who shall recite unto them Your Verses and instruct them in the Book (this Qur'an) and Al-Hikmah (full knowledge of the Islamic laws and jurisprudence or wisdom or Prophet hood, etc.) and sanctify them. Verily! You are the All-Mighty, the All-Wise." (Al-Baqarah 2:129)
This was because of the Dua of Abraham (AS) in Al Baqarah verse 129; So, Allah (سبحانه وتعالىٰ) answered his dua and so the Jews have a problem with this
The third set of people who have a problem with Allah's decision are the kufaar of Quraish
Al Waleed Ibn Mugheera wanted to be the Prophet because he was rich and he will embark on a trading trip with 100 loaded camels
So, he thought his wealth should have been a measure for Allah (سبحانه وتعالىٰ) to choose him as a prophet
And when there comes to them, a sign (from Allah) they say: "We shall not believe until we receive the like of that which the Messengers of Allah had received." Allah knows best with whom to place His Message. Humiliation and disgrace from Allah and a severe torment will overtake the criminals (polytheists, sinners, etc.) for that which they used to plot. (Al-An'am 6:124)
They used to say that they would only believe in him, after Allah (سبحانه وتعالىٰ) reveals a book to them like He did to the rasul (SAW)
When I was travelling to UK from Africa, I invited a white
kaafir woman to Islam
but she put the condition for a shahadah to be that Islam should allow her to have four husbands else, she won't embrace Islam, so some people put a condition on their Islam
Allah (سبحانه وتعالىٰ) told us in the Quran that He knows where to choose His rasul.
WHAT IS SAQAR
AYAH 27
وَمَا أَدْرَاكَ مَا سَقَرُ
And what will make you know exactly what Hellfire is? (Al-Muddaththir 74:27)
There are 7 gates of Hell and has 19 angels guarding it (SAQAR)
AYAH 28
لَا تُبْقِي وَلَا تَذَرُ
It spares not (any sinner), nor does it leave (anything unburnt)! (Al-Muddaththir 74:28)
AYAH 29
لَوَّاحَةٌ لِلْبَشَرِ
Burning the skins! (Al-Muddaththir 74:29)
AYAH 30
عَلَيْهَا تِسْعَةَ عَشَرَ
Over it are nineteen (angels as guardians and keepers of Hell). (Al-Muddaththir 74: 30)
Some famous historic personalities will be in SAQAR.
Nimrod will be in Saqar; because he threw Abraham (as) in the fire in this world.
The Pharaoh
who claimed to be Allah and his adviser Haman, Abu Lahab and
Abu Jahal will also be in Saqar
Al Waleed Ibn Mugheera will be in Saqar,
Saqar: is a place if you enter it, you can't come out and or no intercession can be given to you
AYAH 31
وَمَا جَعَلْنَا أَصْحَابَ النَّارِ إِلَّا مَلَائِكَةً وَمَا جَعَلْنَا عِدَّتَهُمْ إِلَّا فِتْنَةً لِّلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا لِيَسْتَيْقِنَ الَّذِينَ أُوتُوا الْكِتَابَ وَيَزْدَادَ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا إِيمَاناً وَلَا يَرْتَابَ الَّذِينَ أُوتُوا الْكِتَابَ وَالْمُؤْمِنُونَ وَلِيَقُولَ الَّذِينَ فِي قُلُوبِهِم مَّرَضٌ وَالْكَافِرُونَ مَاذَا أَرَادَ اللَّهُ بِهَذَا مَثَلاً كَذَلِكَ يُضِلُّ اللَّهُ مَن يَشَاءُ وَيَهْدِي مَن يَشَاءُ وَمَا يَعْلَمُ جُنُودَ رَبِّكَ إِلَّا هُوَ وَمَا هِيَ إِلَّا ذِكْرَى لِلْبَشَرِ
And We have set none but angels as guardians of the Fire, and We have fixed their number (19) only as a trial for the disbelievers, In order that the people of the Scripture (Jews and Christians) may arrive at a certainty [that this Qur'an is the truth as it agrees with their Books i.e. their number (19) is written in the Taurat (Torah) and the Injeel (Gospel)] and the believers may increase in Faith (as this Qur'an is the truth) and that no doubts may be left for the people of the Scripture and the believers, and that those in whose hearts is a disease (of hypocrisy) and the disbelievers may say: "What Allah intends by this (curious) example.?" Thus, Allah leads astray whom He wills and guides whom He wills. And none can know the hosts of your Lord but He. And this (Hell) is nothing else than a (warning) reminder to mankind (Al-Muddaththir 74:31)
Allah سبحانه وتعالىٰ told you that the 19 angels guarding the saqar would be a fitna for the kufaar
When the rasul (ﷺ) told them about the 19 Angels
Abu Jahl laughed at him and said that they can gang up against them and beat them up
That they can't be able to dump them and so Allah (سبحانه وتعالىٰ) said
that the number
19 was made for it to be a fitnah
Allah spoke about the number 19 in the books of the Jews and Christians and so this will be hujjah for them know that Muhammad was a true Prophet and an increase in faith for the believers
The word 'host' in the above ayah means the angels of Allah
Only He knows how many angels there are
The rasul (ﷺ) saw a ka'aba in the heavens in which 70,000 angels visit daily and those who come never ever come again to visit the ka'aba
Rasullullah (ﷺ) said: “The Ka’bah is surrounded by seventy thousand angels.
They seek forgiveness and blessings for those who make tawaf.” (Ibn Majah)
The rasul (ﷺ) made hajj only once in his lifetime and he was the best Muslim
Allah سبحانه وتعالىٰ Said in the Quran surah At Tur verse 1 to 4
By the Mount, And by
the Book Inscribed In parchment unrolled And by the Bait-ul-Ma'mur (the house
over the heavens parable to the Ka'bah at Makkah, continuously visited by the
